Couple-to-be
The couple to be! Hershal and Bethany have been looking forward to embarking on this next stage in their life. Hershal is a very patient person, who balances out Bethany very well. They have grown as a couple over the years, making them very excited to for marriage. Hershal and Bethany have been blessed with a wonderful group of friends and family who have supported them, and they are excited to introduce a few of them below…
Best Man
Remington has had many roles in Hershals life over the last decade. Remington has been Hershal’s realtor, ‘neighbor’ (or as neighborly as you can be around here), coworker at Halian, and over the last few years, a great friend. Remington has a beautiful wife, Florence, and three wonderful children. Hershal and Remington have spent many nights in the garage bonding over countless topics, and Remington and Hershal are always willing to pitch in when each other need a hand.
Maid of Honor
Abagail and Bethany met freshman year of WVU. Abagail is a very outgoing and friendly person, and really helped Bethany come into her own through her freshman run sophomore year. Abagail met her now husband, Rickey, in their Sophomore year of school, and moved back to Charleston WV with him as she finished her degree. Abagail and Bethany have kept in touch over the last 5+ years. As Abagail’s family grows, (now a family or 5) Bethany enjoys traveling to help celebrate milestones and birthdays. Even with a growing family, Abagail always makes time to stay in touch, and “helps keep Bethany in line”.
Groomsman
Brandon has been a close friend with Hershal for well over 10 years. In fact, when Hershal and Bethany had started seeing each other, Brandon was also Hershal’s roommate. For a year and a half, Brandon got to watch Hershal and Bethany’s relationship grow. Brandon’s always kept the people around him on their toes, and has always been a loyal friend to Hershal. From impromptu road trips to pick up Facebook market place finds, to last minute white water rafting plans, and bringing Hershal along on birthday ski trips. These two have helped balance each other out, and always know how to have a good time together.
Bridesmaid
Claudia has been a part of Bethany’s life since they were in middle school. From countless sleepovers, to concerts, and even sharing a vacation or two along the way. She has been such an influential person in Bethany’s life, and always shows up with compassion, kindness, and love. Bethany is excited to have such a bright light by her side on her big day.
Groomsman
Tom and Hershal have been friends for the better part of a decade. They met back when they were running around at the “time share”, a local friend’s house where people would crash after a long day of skiing. Now, their friendship has evolved to include summer adventures of going off roading and Friday evenings in winter evenings playing chess by the wood-stove. Tom has always been a loyal friend to Hershal, and is always willing to go after the next adventure.
Bridesmaid
Maria is an adventurous soul who has know Hershal for many years. As Hershal and Bethany’s relationship grew, Maria had a front row seat. Throughout that time, Maria and Bethany grew closer. It started with dog walks while the boys played disc golf, to catching first tracks on the ski slopes, then being a staple when organize pot lucks, and more recently, taking trips to the New River Gorge. Maria has always been wise, caring, and self assured, and has been such a great adventure buddy and friend over past 5 years.
Honorable Mention Bridesmaid:
Hannah was introduced to Bethany and Hershal through a mutual friend in the summer of 2024 on a rafting trip down the lower yough. It didn’t take long to realize Hannah and her husband, Austin, shared several outdoorsy hobbies . From Thursday afternoon paddle board sessions and trail walks, to night skiing at wisp after work, there were plenty of opportunities for a friendship to blossom. Hannah is a very bright and optimistic person, whose positivity and laughter is contagious. October 3rd will be a special day for both Hannah and Bethany, while Bethany and walking down the aisle, Hannah will be welcoming her little one into the world!
