It all started at work when Ryan and Arlet both relocated for their jobs and moved to Tampa. Ryan had just started at the company in March of 2021. On his first day in the office, Arlet introduced herself to him, and they immediately hit it off. This Midwest man charmed his way into her heart. According to bystanders of this interaction, sparks were flying immediately—it was an inevitable love story. After meeting in the office, they realized they also lived in the same apartment complex, Grady Square. There was no escaping destiny. Just a few months later, they officially started dating in August of 2021 aboard the StarShip cruise. They moved in together in March of 2022, sharing Ryan's one-bedroom apartment at the time. However, if you know Arlet, there was no way a one-bedroom apartment would have enough closet space for her plethora of belongings. Naturally, this arrangement was short-lived, and they upsized to a two-bedroom in May of 2022. The relationship dramatically improved following the upgrade to enough closet space to fit all of Arlet's shoes. Surviving the ultimate test of a one-bedroom apartment grounded their relationship for the years ahead. Their time dating has been filled with excitement, adventure, and love. From taking some of their favorite trips, such as visiting Lake Como in Italy and skiing in Jackson Hole, to staying busy, these two lovebirds love to keep things moving. Ryan brings calmness and peace into their lives, while Arlet strives to keep things energetic and spontaneous. They effortlessly balance one another, always knowing exactly how to fill each other’s cup. Their most recent adventure together was buying a home in September of 2025, shortly after getting engaged under the mossy oak trees of Wormsloe Park in Savannah, Georgia. They hope to continue building a beautiful space in their home, bringing family and friends together, and starting a family of their own in the future. As they embark on this next chapter of their relationship as husband and wife, they want to continue sharing beautiful experiences and creating more memories while enjoying every moment life has to offer together.
