Walk around the plaza and check out the shops in historic Old Mesilla
White Sands National Monument
In town for a few days? Take a 45 min drive to visit White Sands National Monument. Beautiful gypsum sand as far as the eye can see. Just be sure to go in early AM or evening because it’s going to be hot! Bring your sunscreen, sunglasses, and water, you’ll need it. $20 per vehicle or $10/person 16 and older
Tortugas aka “A” Mountain
Looking for a nice hike with a great view of the Organ Mountains and city? Visit “A” Mountain off University. It’s about a 1.5-2hr hike total, up and back
