Mississippi Children's Museum

If you’re bringing little ones, the Mississippi Children’s Museum in nearby Jackson is a must-visit and was one of my favorite spots to bring my previous nanny kids. It’s interactive, creative, and truly one of the best, with a wonderful park right beside it for even more family fun.

Mississippi Museum of Natural Science

Another one for our guests with kids is the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science. With fascinating dinosaur exhibits, hands-on displays, and interactive learning experiences, it’s the kind of place where curiosity comes to life. Kids can explore, touch, and discover while having fun, making it both entertaining and educational. It’s a perfect stop for families looking to create memorable moments while in town. They also have a beautiful walking trail attached to the museum with dinosaurs scattered throughout!

Renaissance at Colony Park

The Renaissance at Colony Park is a beautiful outdoor shopping and dining destination that’s perfect for an afternoon or evening out. With a mix of upscale boutiques, well-known retailers, and a variety of fantastic restaurants, it offers something for everyone. The walkable layout, fountains, and inviting atmosphere make it an enjoyable place to stroll, shop, grab a meal, or simply relax. It’s a favorite local spot and a great place for visitors to experience the best of Ridgeland.

For some friendly competition, Topgolf in Ridgeland is always a fun outing. Whether you’re a seasoned golfer or just going for laughs, it’s a lively spot with great food, drinks, and entertainment for groups.

Half Shell Oyster House Madison

Half Shell Oyster House is a go-to for incredible seafood and a cozy yet refined atmosphere. Their oysters and Gulf Coast dishes are always a win.

Amerigo is a longtime favorite of our family and one of our go-to spots for date night. Beyond the eats, Fondren offers unique boutiques, live music venues, coffee shops, and colorful street art — all contributing to its lively, welcoming charm. It’s a favorite area to wander, grab a bite, and soak in some local culture.
