Often misattributed to Mark Twain, "The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco". SF is known for its hills and fickle weather. We even have a name for our fog, "Karl". September is generally SF’s warmest month. Expect temperatures ranging from the 60s to the 80s. It is advised to bring a light layer for sun or wind protection in case of spontaneous temperature changes or Karl the Fog.
Friday Welcome Party @ 7 Nebraska Street – we recommend rideshare (uber, lyft, waymo) to our home. If you’ll be driving, we have plenty of street parking on Nebraska or Powhattan. Saturday Reception & Ceremony @ The Log Cabin – we recommend rideshare (uber, lyft, waymo). If you’ll be driving there is a private parking lot at the venue.
Yes! The reception ends at 10pm and we’ve scheduled limo busses to transport us from The Log Cabin to El Rio, about a 30 min drive.
Welcome Party – Dressy casual, bring a jacket. We love hosting pizza parties in our backyard and we imagine our welcome party as an intimate, large-scale pizza night. Ceremony and Reception – Cocktail attire, again bring a jacket or warm throw. If you have any questions about what to wear, text Ryan Gerard.
Our ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors and our reception will be indoors. If weather does not cooperate, we will host the ceremony indoors.
Our ceremony will be outdoors on grass, so ladies, think wedges vs. stilettos. We recommend any footwear where you’ll feel comfortable tearing up the dancefloor.
Welcome Party – Yes! Please take as many photos as you’d like (and share them with us!) Ceremony – No. Please tuck your phones away and be fully present with us during the ceremony. We have a very talented photographer who will capture the magic of the moment. Reception – Yes! While we’ll have a photographer capturing our biggest moments, he won’t be ablet o catch them all. Please take photos and videos to post/share with us!
