Why Black Butte?

Ethan grew up going to Black Butte with his family. It's his happy place. Once Ruthie saw it for herself, she totally understood its magic. We've been to Black Butte several times together now, and we're excited to get married in a place that holds so many special memories.

How Do I Get to Black Butte?

Answer

The good news is, you have options! The closest option is to fly into the Redmond Municipal Airport (RDM), which is around 40 minutes from Black Butte Ranch. If you're itching for a more scenic drive, you could also fly into Portland International Airport (PDX) and drive about 2.5-3 hours.

Will I Need a Car?

Answer

We recommend renting a car to get around! With a car, you'll have the freedom to bop around and explore everything in the area: Black Butte Ranch, the charming town of Sisters, the adventurous city of Bend, and tons of opportunities for outdoor recreation. If you choose to go car-less, you still have options. Shuttles from the airport to Black Butte Ranch are available. Call Redmond Airport Shuttle at 541-480-4040 to arrange service. Rideshare is very limited - we wouldn't count on it!

Where Should I Stay?

Answer

There are several convenient accommodation options available. Houses, condos, and rooms are available at Black Butte Ranch with a 10% discount for our guests. We also have group rates with a few hotels in the nearby town of Sisters. Either option will be perfectly comfortable for your stay. If you choose to stay on the property, you'll have access to the activities and amenities of the resort. If you stay in Sisters, you'll have cute cafes, restaurants, and shops at your fingertips. We will help organize your transportation to the venue on the wedding day from Sisters. Please visit the travel section to learn more about each option.

Are Kids Welcome?

We ask that unless your child is specifically named on the invitation, they stay back for the ceremony and reception. We're happy to help you look for childcare in the area. Please let us know if you have any questions.
