Discover Delray Beach

The Wedding Website of Kyle Platt and Paul Ruthberg
Delray Beach is our home, a place we love more than anywhere. It’s full of charm, color, and that easy coastal energy that makes every day feel special. While you’re here, we hope you take some time to explore! Stroll Atlantic Avenue, grab a cocktail by the ocean, or check out one of our favorite local restaurants. Below, you’ll find a few of our personal recommendations for what to see, do, and taste while you’re in town.
East Atlantic Avenue

East Atlantic Avenue

We always tell friends visiting: just start walking down “The Ave.” no map needed., FL

You’ll want to build in at least one stroll down Atlantic Avenue during your stay — it’s our favorite place to wander when friends are in town. This lively stretch in downtown Delray Beach is just a short walk from the beach and completely packed with good times: unique boutiques, art galleries, coffee spots, great restaurants (like our picks) and bars, and a whole lot of local character. The atmosphere shifts beautifully from day to evening — by day you’ll find shops, outdoor cafés, people watching; by night the street glows with bar lights, music and a fun buzz. Pick up something cute at a local boutique (you’ll find everything from resort wear to art-inspired pieces). Enjoy a laid-back coffee or cocktail during your stroll — the vibe is perfect for relaxing and checking out the scene. And of course: everything we’ve recommended (restaurants, bars) is right in the mix — so it’s super easy to plan something after exploring.

Tucked within The Seagate, Bourbon Steak delivers a dining experience that feels both refined and indulgent. Whether you’re settling in for a full dinner or just a drink at the bar, it’s a must while staying at the hotel.

El Camino

Our favorite Mexican spot in town and always such a fun vibe! The energy is lively from day to night, with great music, bold flavors, and some of the best margaritas around. Kyle’s go-to is the Avocado Jalapeño Margarita, while Paul swears by the Watermelon Jalapeño. Don’t skip the Mexican Street Corn or the Barbacoa Tacos — trust us on this one.

Lemongrass Asian Bistro Sushi

As locals, this is one of our tried-and-true favorites on Atlantic Avenue. Lemongrass has the perfect mix of great energy, creative sushi, and flavorful Asian-fusion dishes. We always order the KC Spicy Tuna and the Lobster Bomb — you can’t go wrong.

Caffe Luna Rosa

Just steps from the beach, Caffè Luna Rosa is a beloved Delray staple known for its coastal charm and all-day appeal. Guests rave about the fresh, Italian-inspired fare, ocean views, and a brunch menu that’s hard to beat—especially their killer Bloody Mary. Whether you’re starting your morning by the water or lingering over dinner at sunset, this spot never disappoints.

If you’re craving something a little different, Hawkers is one of our go-to spots on Atlantic Avenue. It’s always lively, with a fun mix of shareable Asian street-food dishes—think bao buns, noodles, and their famous wings—and great cocktails. The atmosphere is upbeat and perfect for a casual night out with friends before or after the beach. The Soup Dumplings are a must!

Beer Trade Co

Beer Trade Co

145 Northeast 4th Avenue, Delray Beach, FL 33483
, (561) 808-7304

This is one of our favorite laid-back hangouts in Delray. Beer Trade has over 250+ beers (and some wines!) in their self-serve fridges, plus great bar bites — we’re obsessed with the wings. It’s the kind of place you can just relax, chat with friends, and sample something new every time. We’ve been coming here since we moved to Delray, and it’s a regular stop for us and the boys, Bear and Micky — who love that it’s dog-friendly, just like so much of Delray!
