Day Trip to Asheville

If you have the time, Asheville is beautiful and about 30-40 minutes away from Kanuga! Tons of hiking, activities, good restaurants, and breweries!

Bearwallow Mountain Trail

2 mile loop trail that has great reviews on All Trails. Listed as moderate difficulty.

Strawberry Gap Trail

Strawberry Gap Trailhead Parking, FJQV+4H, Gerton, NC 28735

5 mile hike outside of Hendersonville. Looks beautiful and should take 3 hours.

Perry N. Rudnick Art & Nature Trail

362 South Rugby Road, Hendersonville, NC 28791

Located just outside Downtown Hendersonville, it has multiple trails through both woods and meadows that are dotted with outdoor art. All trails are relatively flat and would be considered easy to navigate.

Bell Park

69-acre park for hiking and birding about 20 minutes from Kanuga.
