Average temperatures in Hendersonville are typically in the mid-70s. There is always a chance of rain in the mountains, so consider bringing: - A light jacket or wrap - An umbrella - Shoes you don’t mind getting a little adventurous
Kanuga check-in can be a little tricky to find. Do NOT stop at the first parking lot you see. Continue past the first available parking area. Guest check-in is located at the BACK of the inn.
Attire: Summer Semi-Formal All guests are invited to the Welcome Party at 8:00 PM. Appetizers, desserts, and cocktails will be served. No dinner will be provided. Please plan to eat dinner beforehand at one of the many wonderful local restaurants in Hendersonville (see "Things To Do" tab for restaurant recommendations).
Think: colorful, floral, fun, and comfortable. The venue is outdoors and many pathways are gravel or dirt. Dress in appropriate footwear.
Guests will walk approximately 0.5 miles from the outdoor wedding ceremony to the reception. The route includes gravel paths, dirt walkways, and uneven surfaces. Comfortable footwear is strongly encouraged for all guests.
Before the wedding, guests are welcome to enjoy activities around Kanuga including: Tennis Hiking Bring appropriate attire, sneakers, and outdoor gear if you’d like to participate.
The wedding reception ends at 10 pm. We have rented the Lakeside Fire Pit from 10 pm to 12 am for those interested. There are also Guest Houses people have rented, which could host after parties. There is a noise ordinance after 10 pm, so try not too be too rowdy in outdoor areas. There are no bars or convenience stores at Kanuga, so stock up before you arrive.
Breakfast is included for all guests staying at Kanuga! The breakfast is in the main lodge, near the front desk.
