Maid of Honor
Hello lovely people, Kayla here - otherwise known as an amateur DJ. Ruth and I met at UNCG in Greensboro and ended up being roommates for three years straight. I met Carey on the Hullette’s front lawn, and the rest is history. One of my favorite memories with Ruth was our very first “workouts” together—we spent more time talking than lifting, but it was the moment I realized I had found someone who truly got me. That’s when I knew we’d be lifelong friends. And as for the wedding… get ready. I’ve got a backflip-into-a-split-into-a-headspin-into-another-backflip queued up just for y’all.
Best Man
Hey! I'm Wyatt, and I met Carey back in middle school—where our friendship basically started with me making weird cat noises and letting Carey take the blame for it. The shenanigans have only escalated from there. One of my favorite memories is the time I made him laugh so hard he actually got sick. A true honor. I love to dance, so I’ll be gracing the floor with a dramatic performance of the Hokey Pokey. Please join in—doing it alone just feels wrong. And in between dance numbers, I’ll be sharing embarrassing stories about Carey. You’ve been warned.
Bridesmaid
Hi! My name is Brandy! I met Ruth during a cornhole competition at a college church gathering, and we’ve been friends ever since! It’s hard to pick just one favorite memory, but the second time we ever hung out might take the cake—we went to a fall retreat together, spent the whole weekend side-by-side, and experienced a series of hilarious (and slightly chaotic) moments… including Ruth having an allergic reaction to fire ants. I’m a big extrovert and love meeting new people. And second only to my love for people are my signature dance moves: the Sprinkler and the Shopping Cart—both absolute power moves on the dance floor.
Groomsman
Philip here! Carey's favorite cousin. I met Carey as a kid, probably somewhere in Portugal, before I was truly self-aware. At some point in our early years, he “accidentally” threw a rock at my head. I’m sure it wasn’t intentional… probably. I haven’t met Ruth yet, but I’m genuinely excited to—and very curious to learn whether she has a rock collection or has ever been known to “accidentally” throw one. I have so many great memories with Carey: sleepovers, family trips, making music together. He always had a way of finding the groove and the soul of whatever we were working on. And I’ll never forget the time he explained his shirt to me—a soccer goal graphic that faded at the top. Apparently, each line was a special path for food: “Ice cream goes down this one, hamburgers down that one.” It all made perfect sense.

Valya here! I met the couple while playing pickleball back when we were all living in Morehead City! I’ll never forget watching their fun, lively personalities spark at a bonfire with friends—and then getting to see them grow, mature, and draw closer to God as their relationship deepened. They quickly became the sweetest pair of smitten kittens! As the resident Ukrainian in the group, I’ll be proudly representing and breaking out a little Ukrainian hopak on the dance floor!
Groomsman
Tobias here! I’m Ruth’s brother, and our families have always been incredibly close—my aunt is her dad’s sister, and my uncle on my mom’s side is her mom’s brother. We also grew up in the same area, so Ruth and I have been in each other’s lives forever. Some of my favorite memories with her include the time we ate an entire sleeve of cookie dough together, and that unforgettable day at Lake Jordan when Oakley and I jokingly tried to warn Carey with “explosives” before the joker proposed. He definitely didn’t take the hint. And a fun fact about me: I absolutely love pandas and rabbits.

Hi! My name is Lauren and the bride is my sister-in-law! One of my favorite memories was when Oakley and I joined Ruth in visiting Carey while he was in Elizabeth City! We got to see pretty sand dunes! I'll definitely be bringing the classic white girl jump to the dance floor!
Groomsman
Hi I am Oakley! The bride is my sister, and the groom is… well, my sister’s fiancé—at least until February! Honestly, every day with Ruth feels like the best day ever, so I couldn’t possibly pick just one favorite memory. And fun fact: I’m her brother. (In case my name didn’t give it away!)
