Things to Do and Bites to Eat

We're so excited to share a few of our favorite places with you!
Ohiopyle State Park

Ohiopyle State Park

124 Main Street, Ohiopyle, PA 15470

We have many outdoor dates here at Ohiopyle! We are always hiking, fishing, or taking a bike ride up here on the trail.

Tharps Knob Overlook - Hike to Location

Tharps Knob Overlook - Hike to Location

124 Main Street, Ohiopyle, PA 15470

This is the spot where James proposed! Perfect for morning sunrises! You can hike up to the location and take a seat on one of the benches provided and look out on the whole town of Ohiopyle. You can see all the city lights turn off as the sun comes up between the mountains. If you time it right, you can be there while a train rolls through.

Pappy’s

Pappy’s

1000 National Pike, Uniontown, PA 15401

Locally owned and operated, this family restaurant is one of our favorite places to grab a bite! Located near the base of the Summit, it's a little spot for take-out or casual dining. It's filled with eclectic and antique signs and has a zydeco vibe to it. They offer craft draft beers, a huge selection of six packs and single bottles, and gourmet sodas. There are tons of homemade items and they feature different specialty dishes everyday of the week. Their gourmet buffalo hand-cut fries, Nosferatu burger, and famous fried chicken are our favorites! They also have legendary homemade potato salad that is so good it will make you want to slap yo mamma!

O'Gillies Pub & Restaurant

O'Gillies Pub & Restaurant

200 East Askren Street, Uniontown, PA 15401

This is a local spot that is bright and airy inside. Much bigger on the inside than it seems! It's a great place to get some wonderful seafood or pasta. This place is considered a Uniontown staple to the locals! Perfect place to get a late night bite, and they are closed on Sundays and Mondays.

Wilderness Voyageurs Rafting & Bike Tours

Wilderness Voyageurs Rafting & Bike Tours

103 Garrett Street, Ohiopyle, PA 15470

This is the best white water rafting tour company! They know the best areas to raft, and have experienced and knowledgeable tour guides. If you are more of a kayaker, they also have kayaks you can rent and guided tours! You can also rent bikes from them for the Greater Alleghany Passage trail if you are visiting for a short time.

Fort Necessity National Battlefield

Fort Necessity National Battlefield

National Pike, Farmington, PA 15437

This is a good history buff spot! A preserved battle site from the French in Indian War, this location provides an awesome tour, especially during the summer. You can also take a tour of Mount Washington Tavern and learn some history about the national pike.

For all the days along the way
