FAQs

Here are some common questions that you may have about our big day! If you have any questions other than what has been listed here, please feel free to reach out to us.
Question

Is the venue handicap accessible?

Answer

Yes, the venue is a farm with uneven, unpaved areas. The ceremony is held outside in a flat space that can accommodate wheelchairs, walkers, and canes. The reception is held in a pole barn with a concrete floor. Handicap guests can be driven up to each location for accessibility.

Question

What type of restroom facilities does the venue have?

Answer

Yes, there are luxury portable outdoor facilities that have full bathrooms. They are heated/cooled, have hot/cold water, and music. They are relatively handicap accessible with one small step up into the facility.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

This is a semi-formal event. Keep in mind that the ceremony is outside in the rear yard of the cottage, and the reception is held in a pole barn with a concrete floor. The driveways and the walkways are pea gravel. The barn is not heated or cooled, so please dress according to weather. In June, there should be a nice breeze that blows through the barn to keep it cool.

Question

What is a semi-formal dress code?

Answer

Ladies: Dresses, jumpsuit/pantsuit, dress slacks, blouses or nice shirts, cute bold prints I am a proponent of jeans to every social event, but that's not the vibe we are going for here. Men: Suit with a tie, dress pants with a dress shirt and tie, dress slacks with a sport coat, dress shoes or loafers If you are one of those people who never dress up and can't bring yourself to do it, please put on your darkest pair of jeans and a sport jacket. Wear something your mom would put you in for church. Dress khakis are fine, but work khakis aren't (if they have a carpenters loop and multiple pockets, they are work khakis).

Question

Is smoking allowed?

Answer

There will be a designated smokers area and there will also be a small cigar bar setup.

Question

Will there be alcohol at the reception?

Answer

There will be an open bar serviced by two lovely bartenders. This means you do not have to pay for alcohol, but please bring CASH for the bartenders who will be working so hard to quench your thirst. We will have the following available: Liquor: Stolichnaya Vodka, Rum, Gin, Whiskey Wine: Sangria, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Sweet Red Blend, and Merlot of the Yellowtail Vintage Beer: Hand-Crafted Hefeweizen, Hand-Crafted Blue Loon, Bottled Yuengling Champagne (Extra Dry) Hand Crafted Hard Seltzers
