This is our go to spot for an open air night out. They have lots of food trucks to try and drinks are very reasonable, and it's walking distance to the Denton Square for many other fun spots. Make sure to try the burritos at the El Cucuy trailer, and have an Espresso Martini at Miss Angeline's. If you venture out to the square check out Free Play arcade, and LSA burger's upstair's patio.
This has become a weekly stop for Jonathan to ride, while Kristen enjoys relaxing next door at Towers Tap House, taking it all in while having some local grub. Check out the walking trail that follows the lake. Also, across the street, is Little Elm beach, which is open for swimming, floating, sand volleyball, and family fun at the park. There are also affordable boat and paddle-board rentals.
We met our friends here for surfing, and ended up having a face-time call with our photographer, Aleshia, and hired her on the spot. Goodsurf is fun for both watching with some drinks and food and/or participating, especially since the water is heated and they'll teach you how to ride. Say hi to Brit for us!
This is mostly a college area, but it's full of bars for music, dancing, drinks, and a few restaurants for food.
Jonathan has played many shows on this stage, and now it's owned by a couple of our friends. Great place for music, fresh pizza, and drinks.
Home for art, music, food and drinks in Dallas. So many breweries, restaurants, music venues, and shops to check out.
This might be our friend Jennifer's home away from home. Rent a private karaoke room, and sing until your heart is content.
This is a pricier one, but its at least a yearly tradition for us, usually on a birthday, but the food and service is always so great, they keep us coming back. Say Hi to Anthony for us.
We try to go here every chance we get, for solid TexMex food and drinks. Many birthday dinners have been had here. Great for families. Thanks to Jonathan's mom, Paula, for introducing us to this one.
Like East Side in Denton, but four times the size. More food trucks, drinks, axe throwing, corn hole, human sized chess, trailer karaoke, a brewery on-site, and a toilet seat museum. Try the Philly cheese steak.
Fun place for outdoor games, drinks, and bites.
This one surprised us. Jonathan's dad, John, introduced us to this fried fish spot. Kristen loves to get the fried shrimp, with hushpuppies, and extra tartar sauce. Jonathan prefers the po'boy sandwich, with fries. Not to be confused with Aw Shucks.
