Like all epic college love stories, ours began... at a bar: PnGs the cornerstone of New Paltz. Between the sticky floors, loud music, and maybe one too many happy hour drinks, we managed to find each other - and haven't looked back since! With college graduation drawing near we decided to take the leap of faith and move to Rochester together. Touring for our first apartment together on Valentines Day 2020. We moved in the height of covid, watching our college graduations in the form of a slideshow from our new unfurnished apartment. Nothing tests a relationship more like spending 24/7 together quarantining in a pandemic - in a loft apartment in a new city. Four years later, we really began to feel like locals in our new city. We moved into our first home together and fully leaned into new homeownership DIY. Thank you so much to our new rochester family (you know who you are). With just a couple months in we mourned the loss our beloved first cat Alfredo. In his honor, our home zoo began to grow again with the addition of two kittens (Smudge and Juniper and of course our old lady Bug). We are officially outnumbered in our home and wouldn't have it any other way. And then came the proposal. One of our cats - the only one we could trust - Bug, carried the ring on her collar until Katie noticed. The answer was an enthusiastic yes (from Katie, not bug - though we think she approved too). Now here we are more than 7 years later - still laughing, still cooking together and dancing in our kitchen, and getting ready to tie the knot. We can't wait to celebrate our love with all of you.
