Flight

London Heathrow Airport

London has a number of international airports, but the most convenient option for the Cotswolds is Heathrow (LHR). If you are travelling directly to the Cotswolds from the airport, we would suggest renting a car or arranging a pre-booked transfer. The journey is around 1.5 hours. If you are stopping in London first, the quickest way into Central London is via the Heathrow Express, which will take you to Paddington Station. However, if you are looking for a more affordable option, you can take the London Underground (either the Elizabeth Line or Piccadilly Line) into Central London as well. You can also take an Uber into London from the airport designated area, or plan ahead and pre-book a taxi. These options usually take longer given the distance. Train

Great Western Railway

For those travelling to The Cotswolds from Central London, you can take the train from Paddington Station to Moreton-in-Marsh. The train journey is around 1.5 hours. From the train station, you would then need to take a taxi to your accommodation. However, we would recommend driving as it is much easier to navigate around The Cotswolds with a car.

There are plenty of AirBnB options in the surrounding area. Check out our list with some convenient options. If you are looking for alternative accommodation options, we would suggest searching near Lower Slaughter or Bourton-on-the-Water.

Cotswold Hotel Options

There are a number of other hotels or pubs with accommodations throughout the Cotswolds. We would recommend staying anywhere near Lower Slaughter in villages such as Upper Slaughter, Bourton on the Water and Stow on the Wold.
