Country Walks
If the weather is nice, we recommend going for a walk to explore the English countryside. Here are some suggestions: Belas Knap Long Barrow & Cleeve Common (8.5 miles) – starts and finishes at the Lion Inn pub, which takes you through Winchcombe past the Belas Knap ancient burial ground and by Cleeve Hill, the highest point of The Cotswold’s hill range. Broadway Tower (4.5 miles) – centers around Broadway Tower Country Park near the village of Broadway. River Windrush & The Slaughters (7.5 miles) – takes you through the less touristy, yet still picturesque villages of Lower and Upper Slaughter and through the rolling fields of the Windrush Valley. Minster Lovell & River Windrush (4 miles) – walk along the famous River Windrush to the 15th century ruins of Minster Lovell Hall.
