The Wedding Website of Jessica Furia and Russell Lombardo

Travel Note

Accomodations

Since this is in a small town in Tuscany in the province of Arezzo, we have coordinated your stay in advance with accommodation either at Buccelletti or a local B&B. There are no block codes since these are done in-house with the B&Bs and Buccelletti directly. Renee, our fabulous wedding planner, will reach out to each of you with a link to your stay for the weekend to checkout the property, your room, and the rate. At this point, you will only be asked to pay 30% of your stay to make planning for the wedding in October easier on you! You all are traveling so far to celebrate with us and we understand that not choosing your hotel yourself can be frustrating. Since each property only has a handful of rooms, we have mapped you out in each room so you’re surrounded by people you know. We want spending a weekend in another country to be as comfortable as possible! We hope this achieves this and also alleviates any stress of finding where to stay or wondering if it’s a good price. Because of that, we advise not booking an AirBnB or a local B&B (especially on a site like Expedia) yourself as we have pre negotiated the rates for you with local B&B owners. Renee has personal relationships with these properties and has gotten us fair and well priced rooms. If you're not comfortable with this or would like to discuss your stay more in depth, we're happy to chat with you! Please email us, jessicarussell1209@gmail.com, and Renee, reneeb@buccelletti.it.

Flight

Leonardo da Vinci International Airport (FCO)

There are two options to get to the venue from Rome. Option 1: You can take the train from the airport directly into the train station in Rome (Rome Termini). From there, take a 2.5 hour train from Rome Termini into Castiglion Fiorentino (the local stop for our venue). At that stop and you can take shuttles in Castiglion Fiorentino to take you to Buccelletti or your B&B. **The farther out you book the train ticket, the cheaper it is** Option 2: If you prefer to be picked up in a shuttle at the Rome Airport and driven personally to the venue, our wedding planner Renee will coordinate this for you. Guests may also fly into Florence (FLR) which is also a short train or shuttle ride. There's two options to get there from the airport in Florence: Option 1: you can take the train from the airport (located right outside the airport) directly into the train station in Florence (Firenze Santa Maria Novella). From the train station, take a 1 hour train from Firenze Santa Maria Novella into Castiglion (the local stop for our venue). At that stop, you can get on the shuttle to take you to Buccelletti or your B&B. **The farther out you book the train ticket, the cheaper it is** Option 2: If you prefer to be picked up in a shuttle at the Florence Airport and driven personally to the venue, our wedding planner Renee will coordinate this for you.

Rental Car

Local Rental Car Company

You can also rent a car and drive to the venue! If you want to rent a car, we advise booking this early as these can get pricey the longer you wait. From Florence: the drive is about an hour and a half. From Rome: the drive is about two and a half hours. From Castiglion Fiorentino (local venue to the town): the drive is about 10 minutes. We work with a local company in town that has a good selections of cars. To book a local car, please send an email to Renee at reneeb@buccelletti.it If you drive yourself, you will need an IDP (International Driving Permit) to rent the car and drive legally in Italy. You can get this at any AAA branch in person (takes less than 30 mins) or mail in a form (takes a few weeks) and costs about $25.
