We encourage you to let us know whether or not you plan to attend as early as you can! Because we are mapping each person to a room, the sooner you confirm your attendance, the better we can do to map you to a room closest to the people you know! From there, our wedding planner, Renee will reach out to you via email to confirm your accommodations!
If possible, we suggest flying in to Florence or Rome 1-3 days in advance. This will give you time to adjust to Italy’s time zone and explore a gorgeous city!
We will have shuttles to and from all B&Bs on the wedding day. We will also have optional shuttles for the Welcome Dinner and the Pool Party. Renee will send you a link to opt-in to the shuttles. For any exploring in the town you do on your own we strongly recommend renting a car or you can contact local cabs for rides.
We recommend booking your flights about 2–3 months in advance. Prices tend to rise as the wedding approaches, especially for international travel, so if you already know your plans, it is best to book sooner rather than later.
We recommend using flight comparison tools that allow you to view multiple airlines and routes at once. Our go-to options are Google Flights, Skyscanner, and Hopper. It can also be helpful to check dates that are 1–2 days earlier or later, as prices can vary significantly.
Yes, and this is one of the easiest ways to find a good deal. On Google Flights, you can search your route and select “Track Prices” to receive email updates as fares change. This is especially helpful if you are not ready to book immediately.
If possible, we recommend flying out of a major international airport, as these tend to offer more direct routes and better pricing (for example: JFK, EWR, MIA, or ATL). If you are located elsewhere, it may be worth booking a short flight to one of these hubs for your international leg.
Direct flights are typically the most convenient, but not always necessary. Flights with one connection are often more affordable and still straightforward. Many routes connect through major European cities such as London, Paris, or Frankfurt.
For those planning to explore the Tuscany area, we strongly recommend renting a car. While trains and taxis are available, having a car provides greater flexibility to visit nearby towns, wineries, and surrounding areas on your own schedule.
Yes, and your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your travel dates. If you do not currently have a passport, we recommend applying as soon as possible.
U.S. citizens traveling to Italy for tourism do not need a visa for stays under 90 days.
Italy is 6 hours ahead of the East Coast. To help adjust, it can be helpful to stay awake until local bedtime on your first day and spend time outdoors.
