Getting There...
For those of our family and friends generously traveling from outside of the New York area for our big celebration, there are a few airport options easily accessible to St. James/Port Jefferson, Long Island. The two major New York City airports are JFK International Airport and LaGuardia International Airport, both of which are roughly 50 miles from St. James and take an average of 1 hour, 20 minutes by car depending on traffic. You will find a variety of flights into those airports and have the added benefit of extending your visit to check out all that NYC has to offer. There is also the smaller Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP) only 10 miles from St. James. Public transportation from the NYC area to Port Jefferson Station is a quick train ride away via the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR), and Uber/taxis are abundant in the Long Island area. For added flexibility throughout your stay and to make the most of your Long Island exploration, you may wish to rent a vehicle. Parking at both wedding hotels is free.

Set on the Long Island Sound estuary, this charming harborside hotel is a two-minute walk from historic Port Jefferson Village. The Flowerfield wedding destination is thirteen minutes away by car. A daily parking pass is included. For those guests at Danfords without cars, coach shuttle service will be provided to and from the wedding venue.
