We love our urban oasis in the Oakland Hills. One of the joys of building a garden together is that it started as a blank slate. As you might imagine, we both came to our relationship with a lot of stuff. Literally! We've been homemakers in many homes, over many years...no shortage of towels, dishes & appliances. Last spring we began clearing the overgrown, poison ivy infested hill in our backyard to create a veg garden. Our first harvest was worth the effort...tomatoes, zucchini, eggplant, herbs & more (sounds like the beginning of an Italian recipe!). We're so inspired, we've added more veg beds, cleared the very steepest part of the slope & are excited to expand our garden to include fruit trees & California natives to pollinate them. The garden is where you'll find us on most weekends. We can't think of a better way to grow our literal & symbolic garden than with the love & support of our family & friends. Come visit & enjoy the fruits of our labor. We'll even let you lend a hand!
