Maid of Honor
Carley is my sister and my best friend. She’s kind, funny, and thoughtful. With a seven year age gap, we haven't always been the "closest" of sisters. Different life stages, different hobbies, and different cities sometimes got in the way. Even still, she is the person I am most comforable with, the one I laugh the hardest with, and the one I'm not afraid to share all my secrets with. If you ask Carley about her most poignant memory growing up with me as a big sister, she’ll probably mention a vacuum. Don't listen. She's being dramatic.
Sarni
Best Man
Sarni and I have known each other for 27 years. Our friendship began in elementary school where we co-starred as Marco Polo (Sarni) and Kublai Khan (me) in a school play. Unfortunately, neither of us became a movie star or celebrity, but Sarni has recently written and produced a critically acclaimed documentary! Sarni and I eventually moved into New York City as roommates where our friendship grew even more, and where many nights were spent drinking Bud Light at Dylan Murphy's. Not only is Sarni my best friend, but he is family.
Destiny
Bridesmaid
Destiny, Russ' sister, is the embodiment of kindness and compassion, traits that our late mother instilled in us both. Her warm smile and giggling laugh are contagious, and can light up any room or conversation. Russ and Destiny spent much of their childhood playing manhunt, red rover, and whiffle ball with friends on the neighborhood block. Currently, Destiny dedicates her time to public service and taking care of her dog, Vader. Yes, named after the iconic Star Wars bad boy, Darth Vader.
Luke
Groomsman
Luke, Russ' brother, is trustworthy and someone you can count on, traits that our father instilled in us both. While Luke presents with a calm demeanor, he's also a jokester like his brother, and lends a voice of optimism in moments of uncertainty. Russ and Luke enjoy playing catch or shooting hoops. They also have fun bantering in the shared misery of their favorite sports teams, but they both happily root for the Knicks! Currently, Luke attends college at FSU and is studying Finance. While he may be the smarter brother, he still can't manage to outsmart Russ on the pickeball court.
Andy
Officiant
Russ and Andy first met in college, where they initially bonded after learning that their parents worked together at the Long Island Railroad. The camaraderie grew further over their love of music, fantasy football, and intramural sports. After all, they are 3 time defending intramural softball champions together (shout out Mo Peña Mo Problems). They even formed a rag tag rap group just for the sake of entering a talent show (shout out Real Talk Records). After college, Russ and Andy remained close and eventually Liz came into the picture, befriending Andy and his wife Karen. They often gather together for birthdays or football Sundays, where Russ and Liz may also find themselves teaching Andy and Karen’s children about plants and farm animals.
