Like many outdoor destinations on the east coast, MV is a home to ticks. Link from Martha's Vineyard Chamber of Commerce: https://www.mvy.com/tick-awareness/ Suggestions: When outdoors, wear insect repellent. When on nature trails, wear long sleeves, long pants and closed-toe shoes. Perform daily tick checks after outside activities. At the wedding festivities on Friday/Saturday/Sunday, the lawn should be very safe. We will also provide nontoxic mosquito and tick repellent for anyone who needs it.
