Thank you so much for considering taking a long journey to celebrate with us! Please see below for some of our recommendations and options. We plan on staying in the city of Florence for the duration of the wedding weekend. We will arrange transportation to and from our wedding ceremony and reception.

Travel Note

Passport Reminder

Travel Documentation: Please make sure your passports are valid for at least 6 months past the departure date of your visit to Italy.

Flight

Flying to Florence

Flights: There are three main options for getting to Florence. Unfortunately, there are no non-stop flights from the US to Florence, so a layover will be required to fly into Florence airport, or you can fly to a nearby airport and take a train to Florence. You can fly to Aeroporto di Firenze-Peretola (FLR) via a layover and take a taxi to your accommodations. You can fly to Rome–Fiumicino International Airport (FCO) and take a "fast-train", located within the airport itself, to Florence (Santa Maria Novella Station) in 1hr 30min. You can also fly into Pisa (PSA) and take a short shuttle to Pisa Central Station and then a "fast-train" to Florence (Santa Maria Novella Station) in 50 min. Once at Santa Maria Novella Station in Florence, you can walk or taxi to your accommodations.

House Or Rental

Airbnb/Rental Apartment

There are various Airbnbs and rental apartments available in Florence. Jillian and Spencer stayed in an Airbnb when Jillian visited Spencer while he was studying abroad and loved the experience. It's a great way to immerse yourself in the Florentine culture.
