Maid of Honor
Lauren and Megan were college roommates their freshman year at Appalachian State University. Lauren had just moved in on the seventh floor of Bowie Hall and Megan was in need of a roommate, so they were matched. They took a while to warm up to one another, and finally broke the ice by sharing some heart-shaped marshmallows on Valentine's Day. After that, they were inseparable - and have been ever since!
Best Man
Andrew is Phil's brother, and the eldest Young brother of the three boys. Andrew has been nothing but a source of love and support for both Phil and Megan since they met. The two have shared many laughs, adventures, and memories with him, and look forward to a lifetime more. We are very thankful to have Andrew in our lives and a part of our wedding!
Bridesman
Harrison and Megan met at work and bonded over the frustrations of working in retail. Their shared dark sense of humor and love of sassy quips is what quickly made them friends. They did a lot of talking about their goals for the future, and making jokes and cutting up during work, which made being overworked and underpaid much more enjoyable! They have both since moved on to bigger and better things, but leaving with friends like Harrison is by far the best thing to come out of jobs like that one. We're honored to have him in our wedding.
Groomsman
Jake and Phil have been friends since high school. They've shared multiple jobs together and were inseperable for a long time as kids. Phil was honored to be a part of Jake's wedding and we are honored to have him be a part of ours. Jake and his wife, Hillary, have three kids now and we are very happy to call them both friends.
Bridesmaid
Heather and Megan first met at work and quickly bonded over their shared struggles of life and dating in Charlotte. They spent time commiserating about their bad dates, making spontaneous trips, and watching The Bachelor together. Ironically, Heather and her then-boyfriend, now-husband, Mark, would later introduce Megan to Philip, who happened to be Mark's longtime friend and roommate. Kismet! We're honored to have her in our wedding.
Groomsman
Mark and Phil have been close friends for almost 17 years. They met when they were neighbors through a mutual interest in skateboarding and it didn't take long for Mark to become apart of Phil's family. Phil was a part of Mark's wedding and we are honored to have him be a part of ours.
Bridesmaid
Anne AshLee is Megan's favorite cousin. She has always been a ray of smiles and sassiness that brings warmth and laughter to the family and those around her! She has a great sense of humor that everyone loves to be around. Our family is much better having her in it, and we're honored to have her in our wedding.
Groomsman
Joe and Phil have been friends since high school. Joe's house was always the place to be among their group of friends mostly because of Joe's friendly and welcoming nature and partially because of the lack of supervision. Joe and Phil became close friends in their younger years and even after long stretches of not seeing one another it always feels like it was just yesterday. We're both honored that Joe is going to be a part of our wedding.
Officiant
Bill and Megan met at work when she was a recent college grad, out in the real world with no plan. He took it upon himself to help Megan create a professional resume, look for career opportunities, and coach her for interviews. Even greater than that, Bill encouraged her to pursue the things she wanted out of life and her career and helped instill the confidence that it was attainable. Megan certainly would not be where she is today without him. Everyone should have someone as kind and supportive as Bill in their lives. We're honored to have Bill officiate our wedding.
Dog of Honor
Willow has been such a loyal, playful, and sweet companion since she joined our family in March of 2019. She has energy for days and loves fetch, swimming, tug-of-war, and being chased. She is very smart and has learned a host of tricks since her arrival that she trades for treats. We are so lucky to have her!
Dog of Honor
Winston is such an affectionate lovebug! Since he made his debut in June of 2019, Winston has stolen our hearts with his sweet and relaxed nature. He loves belly rubs, walks and hikes, and being curled up with you! We are so lucky to have him!
