Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Our registry is with Zola, the very website you are on right now :) You can find it here: www.zola.com/registry/rushmachadowedding

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please plan on arriving at least 10 minutes early. The church doors will be closed once the bride and groom enter the church. We would hate for any of you to miss this special time.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If the invitation did not include your name, or your significant other's name, or a "plus 1"- unfortunately, you cannot bring that extra person. We have provided a certain number of guests to the venue and have to make sure we do not go over capacity.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, if you do not mark your food request on the RSVP, please email briannamachado84@yahoo.com to make sure we do not give you a plate that makes you faint, blow up, or end up in an ambulance!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Unfortunately, no children are invited besides the mini groomsman and mini bridesmaid. We are greedy, and want your full attention! But if you have to bring your kids, we can help arrange for a sitter to stay with them in the hotel room! Text Bri @ 209-678-1033 if you would like help with a sitter.

Question

How do I get to the Saint Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church?

Answer

The church is 2.1 miles from the Millenium Biltmore Hotel. It is about a 10-15 minute drive. There is a designated parking lot at the church located off of S Figueroa (it is a one way street). There is also metered parking off of W Adams.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Black-Tie Optional: Tuxes and gowns are preferred, but not required. We thought it would be appropriate to dress up like we were at a classic red carpet event, and here's why....The hotel was one of the first venues for the Academy Awards. The Biltmore Theater, now the Biltmore Court & Tower location had Will Rogers emceeing the opening of the theater in 1924, which then ran plays starring luminaries such as Katharine Hepburn, Henry Fonda, and Mae West. During WWII, the Biltmore served as a military rest and rec facility, with the entire second floor set up with cots for military personnel on leave. The 1960 Democratic National Convention in Los Angeles chose John F. Kennedy as the party's presidential nominee, and his acceptance speech was given at the Biltmore. He set up his campaign headquarters in the Music Room (now the Lobby), with running mate Lyndon B. Johnson across the hall in the Emerald Room.

Question

Where is cocktail hour?

Answer

Cocktail hour will be located in the Tiffany ballroom from 6-7PM. The bar will be hosted.

Question

Do you have rooms saved for me at the Millenium Biltmore Hotel?

Answer

We have done our best to estimate a headcount that could possibly be staying at the Biltmore. We have saved a certain amount of rooms to ensure that our guests will have a place to stay, and at a discounted price. We cannot guarantee that there will be any availability at the Biltmore Hotel come closer to the wedding, as it will be on a first come first serve basis. But not to worry, Los Angeles is huge, and there are a lot of options. To reserve a deluxe room at the Millenium Biltmore hotel, please call hotel reservations at (213) 612-1575 and use discount code 1905WEDBAR or Rush/Machado Wedding. You will have the option to upgrade if you would like a suite. Question

How can I get from LAX airport to the Millennium Biltmore Hotel?

Answer

If you are in town only for the weekend, we encourage to take Uber, Lyft, or hire a driver. Renting a car from the airport is time consuming and stressful and can be costly. Uber or Lyft for 2-3 people range from $30-$45 Uber/Lyft: Airport personnel can help direct you to designated areas for pickup. We have arranged for a private driver to transfer you from the LAX Airport to the Millennium Biltmore Hotel with fixed rates at $110 each way for up to 6 people (includes taxes and airport fees). The driver will coordinate with you and pick you up at your arrival terminal at your baggage claim. To make a reservation, call or text Zee at 714-660-8060 or email moderntransportationservice@gmail.com and mention Brianna Machado for the fixed rate. (If you are staying at a different hotel, but it is near the Biltmore, pricing may change) Car rental: There are shuttles that can transport you to the car rental company

Question

The wedding is over. Now what?

Answer

Bri and Andrew are so VERY grateful for the efforts their guests put into traveling, planning, and taking time off work (and kids) to be part of such a special time in their lives. Bri and Andrew will be sipping on some tea and coffee in the "Rendezvous Court" located down the famous stairwell in the Millenium Biltmore Hotel. If you would like to say your goodbyes or tell them your favorite part of the wedding, you can find them in the court around 11AM.
