WELCOME PARTY

6:30 pm - 11:00 pm

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel San Jose
2050 Gateway Place, San Jose, CA 95110

Dress Code: Indian or Western Cocktail (please avoid wearing red, white or cream)

We invite you to a night of music, dance, and dinner to kick off the wedding celebrations! This will be a festive evening, so feel free to dress in colorful, celebratory Indian wear if you’d like. Women: You're welcome to wear Indian outfits such as sarees, lehengas, or shararas — we recommend checking out the websites listed on our FAQ page for places to shop. Prefer Western attire? A cocktail dress or jumpsuit is also perfectly appropriate. Men: You can wear a kurta pajama, bandhgala, or sherwani for a festive Indian look. A Western suit or dress shirt with slacks works just as well — feel free to add a fun accessory or pop of color.

Shuttle Pick Up (DoubleTree Guests only)

1:15 pm - 1:15 pm

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel San Jose
2050 Gateway Place, San Jose, CA 95110

Shuttles will depart promptly at 1:15 PM to take guests to Nestldown, our wedding venue. Please be ready to board by that time. The drive will take approximately 40–50 minutes, depending on traffic. Return shuttles will be available after the reception to bring hotel guests back to the DoubleTree.

BARAAT / GROOMS PROCESSION

3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Dress Code: Indian or summer cocktail attire

Be part of the excitement as Samir makes his grand entrance! The Baraat is a lively procession filled with music and dancing, and both the bride’s and groom’s sides are welcome to join. If you'd like to participate, please arrive by 2:45 PM to be part of the fun!

WEDDING CEREMONY

4:00 pm - 4:45 pm

Dress Code: Indian or summer cocktail attire (please avoid wearing red, white or cream)

The Indian wedding ceremony includes a few meaningful rituals, like the "Saat Phere," where the couple takes seven rounds around a sacred fire symbolizing their union. Please join us in celebrating this special moment! This is a traditional Indian ceremony, so we encourage guests to embrace the festive spirit by wearing Indian attire — but it’s absolutely not required! Women: You're welcome to wear Indian outfits such as sarees, lehengas, or shararas. If you're new to Indian clothing, don’t worry — we’ve listed some websites on our FAQ page to help you find something you’ll feel comfortable in. Prefer Western attire? A summery cocktail dress or jumpsuit is totally fine too. Men: You can wear a kurta pajama, sherwani, or a Western suit or dress shirt with slacks. Think formal but celebratory.

COCKTAIL HOUR

5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Following the ceremony, join us for cocktail hour by the koi pond, where drinks will be served along with appetizers. It's the perfect time to relax, mingle, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings before the reception begins!

RECEPTION

6:00 pm - 9:30 pm

Join us for an evening of dinner, dancing, and speeches as we celebrate the newlywed couple!

After Party (Optional)

Sat, Aug 16, 2025, 10:30 pm - Sun, Aug 17, 2025, 12:30 am

Ready to keep the celebration going? Shuttles will pick up guests staying at the DoubleTree directly from Nestldown and take you to the afterparty. This is totally optional—but encouraged if you're in the mood to dance, mingle, and celebrate! If you’re not staying at the DoubleTree, please arrange your own transportation to the afterparty. Keep in mind: our venue is in a remote location, so Uber and Lyft may not be reliable. There won’t be time to change outfits between the reception and the afterparty—so come dressed to party all night long!
