Wedding Party

Elizabeth Ruffe

Matron of Honor

Liz: Kristin’s “birthday present” (literally...she was born on Kristin’s 5th birthday). The little sister who drove Kristin nuts growing up somehow became her best friend the second she left for college, and the duo hasn’t looked back. From planning epic birthday trips (including visits to DC and the ultimate 21st in Nashville), to surprise school visits, exploring wine country (and purchasing too many bottles...), and national park adventures, these two have turned every outing into a story worth retelling. Always on speed dial for each other, and now celebrating a shared bridal era just months apart, they are the true definition of sisters by blood, friends by choice.

Sean Robb

Best Man

Ah, Sean - a man of little hair, many children and plenty of humor. As the oldest brother, Sean had the distinct honor of being Kyle's roommate for many years, fighting over their (very cool) red Mini Cooper, and trying to keep up with Kyle's many athletic accomplishments. Now, "Salvador" lives in Seattle with his wife and three kids, where he spends his time writing fan fiction and "investing" in the local Indian casino. Rumor has it, Sean has hired a Hollywood screenwriter to prepare his best man speech.

Misha Patel

Bridesmaid

Misha may be married into the family but she is a full-fledged Ruffe (and sometimes liked more than Matt - shhhh!). She also shares a birthday with Kristin, but not just same day - same year, which makes it even crazier! When they get together, it’s a dangerously good time: good food, too many cocktails, and plenty of snuggles with her and Matt’s mini dachshund. Misha has become Kristin’s ultimate sounding board, confidant, and partner in all things life and fun - althought fun this year has looked a little different! She is going to make Kristin an Auntie this Spring - and because of this, fingers crossed she can join everyone at the wedding!

Grant Robb

Groomsman

A movie afficionado A fitness guru. An icon. Grant can quote any movie and has the most detailed letterbox we've seen and has a deep respect for the filmography of Brendan Fraser. An avid runner, Grant will have just completed the Paris Marathon by the time of the wedding! Grant lives in Texas, where has lived since college, and has developed a great affinity for Whataburger and Buckees. The odds are ever in your favor if you get him on your team for bar trivia!

Melissa Kenealy

Bridesmaid

Melissa - professional heckler of almost every boy on Elon's campus and co-conspirator in all of Kristin’s “just one more drink” adventures. They met on the first day of orientation Freshman year and luck had it they lived on the same floor, had a mutual love for Ke$ha, and went to church on Sunday's (for their Catholic grandmas, not the football players...!) Together, they’ve conquered the world (Europe, South America, and Mexico to name a few) with countless weekends visiting eachother post college, leaving a trail of laughter (and slightly questionable decisions) in their wake. Melissa is the ultimate partner-in-crime: always willing to let Kristin curate the perfect meal from drinks to dessert, and somehow survive fifteen years of friendship. Part of the ultimate trio with Jill, Melissa is equal parts bad influence, best companion, and everyone's best friend.

Troy Robb

Groomsman

Troy keeps us all young. Kyle's youngest, tall, Guinness loving, hipster brother loves a good party almost as much as he loves his dog Bo. Troy lives with Bo in Arkansas, but loves Chicago - he loves Malort so please order it every time you see him. Together, Troy and Grant are quite the comedic pair, and have been compared many times to the old men in the Muppets. By the way ladies - HE'S SINGLE!

Jill Danis

Bridesmaid

Jilly Bean - Jersey girl, nail polish queen, master of go-with-the-flow, and officially the world’s most enthusiastic gift receiver (seriously, she likes everything!). She fell fast for her now-husband on the sophomore dorm floor (making her less boy crazy/frat chasing than most) and recently made Melissa and Kristin aunties, which now officially has Kristin buying every cute purple baby outfit. Part of the ultimate trio with Melissa, Jill is equal parts chaos coordinator and calm anchor - the perfect collaborator for girls’ weekends that somehow always end in slightly questionable decisions and full-on laughter. Thoughtful, hilarious, and somehow surviving fifteen years of Kristin’s over-planning, Jill proves that “yes, let’s do it” is a superpower.

Keegan Kush

Groomsman

Keegan and Kyle first met in the "trenches" of Navy Sprint Football, where Kyle was a lineman and Keegan a linebacker. Despite playing across the line of scrimmage from each other, Keegan and Kyle became roommates coaching for the team after graduation. After plenty of "Chamucos" tequila in Annapolis, bar crawls in San Clemente, and Kyle introducing Keegan's son to Star Wars, they've stayed close friends.

Lauren Zolden

Bridesmaid

Kristin’s other half and part of the post-college blonde trifecta (yes, Kristin used to be blonde), Lauren came into the picture their first day at Deloitte when they both knew absolutely no one. Shared “carpenter’s thumbs” (or “toe thumbs,” as Lauren so lovingly calls them) sealed an instant bond, though it’s unclear if it was fate or thumbs that made them inseparable. Together, they’ve followed musicians across the pond, binged enough trashy TV to fuel multiple Bachelorette-themed wine nights, and celebrated every Jewish holiday like pros (seriously, try her dad’s latkes!). Loyal, hilarious, and always ready for the next adventure, Lauren keeps life equal parts fun and slightly chaotic - the kind of friend every girl needs by her side.

Ross Gilchriest

Groomsman

A fellow brother of the "Hoggie Nation", Ross was one of the first people Kyle befriended at Navy. Ross and Kyle both played on the Sprint Football offensive line for four years, and spent much of their time together training, practicing and traveling. A fellow Marine, Ross and Kyle have stayed close friends since graduating.

Eliza Brooks

Bridesmaid

Shortest tenure, maximum impact, Eliza came into Kristin’s life during business school - a time that delivered not only a degree, but also Kyle. From day one, they were in the same section, lived next door, and shared eerily similar Deloitte pasts (basically friendship on a silver platter). Add in a mutual love of planning, cooking, travel, and country music, and it was a done deal. Now both in Chicago, Eliza has been one of Kristin’s rocks - and the kind of friend whose home truly feels like a second home. Life-saving moments may or may not have occurred, but one thing is certain: Kristin couldn’t imagine this day without her.

Adam Wydra

Groomsman

Adam and Kyle met at Michigan Ross almost immediately - what are the odds two Naval Academy grads lived one floor away from each other? Since then, Adam has entertained Kyle's many shenanigans and drunken escapades, whether it be drinking on the slopes of Val Thorens, drinking on top of the bus or playing a suspect in a very elaborate murder mystery party - where drinking was also involved (we swear, we did actually learn stuff at business school).
