We met the way many modern love stories begin - on Hinge. We came from different worlds - Ruchita grew up in Mumbai and lived across five countries before moving to US, a life shaped by travel and diverse experiences but values rooted in India. Carl as a second generation Filipino-American chose to build a life in his home state close to family, but always had a deep curiosity about other cultures and cuisines. One is outgoing, passionate, and bold while the other is reserved, inquisitive, and subtle. From the very beginning, we bonded over our shared interests of outdoors, hiking, fitness, and food flavors. Different life journeys, same wavelength. The connection felt natural and we found common ground in our values, our outlook on life, and the way we made each other feel. What started as a long conversation walking in a park (our first date on 8 December 2024) quickly turned into a solid partnership of love (we were engaged on 18 January 2026).
