Being from New Jersey was the first thing that bonded us when meeting at freshmen orientation at college 12 years ago. Since then, Ashley has been a best friend, roommate, personal stylist, and a deep encourager for my relationship with Christian (even before I knew I had feelings for him). I am thankful for a friendship that has lasted over a decade, and for a friend who will continue to be faithful, loving, an accountability partner, and reminder of truth.

Best Man
Jordan has been my best friend for a long time. We had our first play date in 3rd grade. We started playing music together in 8th grade. And we have been leading worship together at retreats, youth groups, and church for over 8 years. We’ve cooked on camping trips, have played countless hours of video games. But Jordan has always been there for me as a friend to listen and to point me to Jesus. He is a rock of a friend through the good and bad.

I am so thankful to God for a friendship with Tom that had continued since we first met at Community Bible Study when we were two years-old. Tom has walked through life with me, pointed me back to who Jesus is, and has shown love through encouraging words and being a faithful friend. Also, seeing Tom’s friendship with Christian grow over the past few years has brought a lot of joy to me.

I am so honored to have my incredible sister by my side. Despite her being my little sister, I have always looked up to her and her discipline in everything she does. Throughout my relationship with Kristi, Rachel has always been there by praying for and supporting us.

I remember being little and asking my mom if I had a long-lost sister, and the answer was ‘no’. But God gave me a delayed answer in having Kayleigh officially join my family three years ago. I am so thankful to God to have her as a sister, but also to call her my friend. It has been a joy to see Kayleigh and Mark get married, and now to have her stand by my side this year.

I was honored to be the best man at Dan's wedding and I am now honored for Dan to be part of my wedding party. Dan has been there for me for what feels like forever, but actually has been since eighth grade. I have always looked up to him in how he loves Jesus and how disciplined he is. What a great best friend!

After the first time Mark met Christian, he said, “Kristi, it’s a heart issue, not a height issue. If you love him, get married”. I am so thankful for a brother who has always looked out for me, has paved the way in life for me by accomplishing the big things first so it seems a little less scary for me, and who has gone through life’s mountains and valleys with me.

Alfonso and I met at NJIT. We met in one of our IT classes. After that semester, he will never admit it, but he copied my schedule so that he could have the same classes as me. We grew closer in college and Alfonso has challenged me technically and in my career since then. He has also been there for me as a listening ear. He is one of those guys you always want to be around because of his personality and who he is.
