Travel Note
Getting to Beacon
Beacon is accessible by car or train from New York City. We suggest either renting a car and driving from one of the New York City airports or taking the train from Grand Central Station in Manhattan.
Flight
NYC Airports
NYC has 3 airports - LaGuardia (LGA), Newark (EWR), and JFK. For those flying into New York, we recommend either Newark or LaGuardia. If you plan on heading into Manhattan prior to the wedding and taking the train up to Beacon from Grand Central Station, LaGuardia is the closest airport. If you are driving, it may take anywhere from 1.5-2.5 hours (depending on traffic) from any of these airports.
Train
Metro North Train - Grand Central to Beacon
Taking the train from Grand Central Station in Manhattan is the most scenic way to get to Beacon. Trains generally run every hour and take about 1.5 hours to get to Beacon via the Hudson line (green line). You do not need to reserve a specific train time in advance - you can buy your tickets online, on the TrainTime app, or at Grand Central Station the day of.
