How should I get to Beacon?
Answer
If you are flying in from outside of NY, we recommend either renting a car from the airport or taking the train to Beacon from Grand Central Station in Manhattan (which you can uber/cab to from the airport). The train ride from Grand Central is 70-90 minutes, depending on if there is an express train, on the Hudson Line. The train offers great views of the Hudson River on a nice day.

How can I buy train tickets?
Answer
The easiest way to buy tickets is online (https://new.mta.info/) or on the MTA app (called Traintime: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/mta-traintime/id1104885987). Buy tickets from Grand Central to Beacon on the Hudson Line (green line towards Poughkeepsie).

Should I rent a car?
Answer
If you plan to fly into the airport and go directly to Beacon, renting a car is a good option. If you plan to spend some time in New York City in the days before or after the wedding, we would recommend taking the train from Beacon and using ubers/lyfts to get around once there.
Question
If I don't have a car with me, how do I get around?
Answer
Ubers/Lyfts are easy to get during the daytime in Beacon and Fishkill. For the Wedding day itself, we will have shuttles to and from the Hilton/Marriott hotels in Fishkill. If you need to schedule a ride to leave late night/early in the morning outside of this, we recommend scheduling ahead.

How should I dress for the Welcome Party?
Answer
The attire for the welcome party is dressy casual. For women: Below-the-knee dresses, slip dresses, a dressy skirt and blouse, or an elegant pantsuit or jumpsuit (styled with heels, nice wedges, or formal flats). For men: Dress pants or khakis/nice jeans with a button-down shirt or polo. Add a blazer if you'd like. Nice shoes or loafers.

How should I dress for the Wedding?
Answer
The attire for our wedding is formal. For women: Floor-length gowns, fancier midi dresses, or elegant cocktail dresses. Heels or dressy flats. For men: Formal suit, dress shirt, and tie. Dress shoes.
