Question

Is there a hotel room block?

Answer

We have secured a room block at both La Fonda and Pinon Court (La Fonda's sister property, ~10-minute walk to La Fonda) for July 3-5th, 2025. Please reserve your room by visiting the links here: La Fonda: https://www.reseze.net/servlet/SendPage?hotelid=1255&skipfirstpage=true&page=1156161 Pinon Court: https://www.reseze.net/servlet/SendPage?hotelid=1779&skipfirstpage=true&page=1156725 The room must be reserved by June 2nd in order to secure the group rate. Group rates: La Fonda nightly rate: $349 + tax Pinon Court classic room nightly rate: $259 + $25 hotel fee + tax Pinon Court junior suite nightly rate: $289 + $25 hotel fee + tax --- There are also many other hotel options available in Santa Fe as well as AirBnBs available to rent. Please check out our Travel page for more information.

Question

Is the event indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both! We have reserved the beautiful terrace at La Fonda, which includes both an outdoor area and indoor area. We will have the ceremony outdoors (weather permitting) and the reception will take place indoors.

Question

Which airport should I fly into?

Answer

Santa Fe has two airport options: Albuquerque International Sunport (ABQ) and Santa Fe Regional Airport. ABQ is the larger of the two and has more flight options. ABQ is located about an hour drive away from Santa Fe so if you do fly into ABQ, you will either need to rent a car or take the airport shuttle (more info on the travel page!) Santa Fe Regional Airport is about a 20-minute drive to downtown Santa Fe and offers daily flights to/from Denver, Phoenix, Dallas, and Houston. If you are flying to/from these locations or need to connect, we recommend looking into flying into Santa Fe, as it is far more convenient than flying into ABQ.

Question

How do I get around Santa Fe?

Answer

While we recommend renting a car to get around, it's not totally necessary. There is a lot to do in walking distance from the hotel and there are Ubers available.

Question

Is there parking at La Fonda?

Answer

Yes, there is garage parking at La Fonda available for $30 (plus tax) per evening. You can also try to find street parking around the hotel.

Question

Cash bar or open bar?

Answer

Open bar, of course!

Question

Are there any things to note around the 4th of July holiday?

Answer

Our wedding takes place during a holiday weekend so please bear that in mind! The city might be a little more crowded than usual so we HIGHLY recommend making dinner & brunch reservations for the days/meals around the wedding events. Santa Fe is a small city and restaurant reservations get booked up quickly, so please be sure to make plans ahead of time! A fun July 4th Santa Fe tradition is Pancakes on the Plaza. Be sure to check it out! https://santafe.com/pancakes-on-the-plaza/

Question

What is the weather like in Santa Fe in July?

Answer

Santa Fe during July will likely see temperatures in the mid-high 80s, with it cooling off quite a bit in the evening. Santa Fe has a dry heat, which makes it a pleasant place to visit during the summer. However, July is smack in the middle of "monsoon season," meaning it will most likely rain at some point during the weekend. Please be sure to pack layers and rain gear!

Question

How can I avoid altitude sickness?

Answer

Altitude sickness is a real thing when visiting Santa Fe, a city that sits 7,000 miles above sea level. Please be sure to drink lots and LOTS of water throughout your stay and take Advil pre-emptively. Taking Gingko Biloba supplements the week leading up to your trip may also help prevent altitude sickness.

For all the days along the way
