Wedding Party

Meet our amazing friends that will be helping us make our day perfect.

James De Jager

Best Man

Ruan and James went to school together in South Africa and have reconnected after both moving to Australia.

Jaydon Kovarik

Groomsman

Ruan and Jaydon worked together in Adelaide and connected over a love for 4x4ing.

Nick Miller

Groomsman

Ruan and Nick went to highschool together in Adelaide and have stayed connected since.

Evie Ford

Maid of Honor

Emily and Evie have known each other since early childhood and even ended up at the same primary school. With their dads working together in the police, their friendship was pretty much locked in from the start. Even when they went off to different high schools, nothing changed — they stayed close, kept the friendship going outside of school, and proved that a solid bond doesn’t need the same timetable to survive.

Sophie Cavanagh

Maid of Honor

Emily and Sophie’s friendship quite literally began at baptism, and they’ve stuck together ever since. From primary school through to high school, they did it all side by side. What started as a connection through their families quickly became a lifelong friendship, and over the years they’ve been through thick and thin together — proving that some friendships are destined from day one.

Bec Wren

Bridesmaid

Emily and Bec became close through rugby in Adelaide. When Emily heard that someone from Queensland had moved down and was coming to training, she was so excited that she practically sprinted over to introduce herself the moment Bec arrived — clearly thrilled to have found a fellow Queenslander. Not long after, Bec found herself moving into the house Emily and Ruan were living in at the time, and from that point on, she was stuck with them (in the best possible way). The three quickly became their own little family, and Emily and Bec have been close ever since — proving that rugby really does build lifelong friendships.
