Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Roopa Pandit and Kevin Teater
We are so excited to share the Portland area with our family and friends! There is so much to do here. Roopa loves planning out trips for people, please don't hesitate to reach out for specific recommendations!

International Rose Test Garden

400 Southwest Kingston Avenue, Portland, OR 97205
, (503) 823-3636

Free Rose garden! We will be a little past the peak but it has amazing views of Portland. Feel free to roam Washington Park and free tennis courts above the garden afterwards

Forest Park

Portland, OR 97231
, (503) 823-4492

Lots of hikes close by the venue and hotel. A giant forest oasis in the city!

Council Crest Park

1120 Southwest Council Crest Drive, Portland, OR 97239
, (503) 823-7529

You can either drive to the top or hike up from Markham (<3 hours round trip but a climb). Highest point in town with views of Mt hood, St Helens and Mt Adams (and sometimes Rainier on a super clear day)

OMSI

1945 Southeast Water Avenue, Portland, OR 97214
, (503) 797-4000

Science museum and planetarium in SE Portland if you are trying to stay indoors

Powell's City of Books

1005 West Burnside Street, Portland, OR 97209
, (800) 878-7323

Giant book store in NW Portland! An absolute must even if just to roam

Pittock Mansion

3229 Northwest Pittock Drive, Portland, OR 97210
, (503) 823-3623

Hike up there from Forest Park and get beautiful views of the city on a clear day. You can also pay to go inside if you would like!

Salt & Straw

838 Northwest 23rd Avenue, Portland, OR 97210
, (971) 271-8168

Best ice cream with the most unique flavors!

Tom McCall Waterfront Park

98 Southwest Naito Parkway, Portland, OR 97204
, (503) 823-7529

Walk along the Willamette River in downtown Portland. On Saturdays there is a market

10 Barrel Brewing Portland

1411 Northwest Flanders Street, Portland, OR 97209
, (503) 224-1700

There are so many breweries in Portland! The closest would be 10 Barrel, Breakside, Deschutes, Backwoods, Ecliptic, Migration etc. A lot can get pretty booked, if you can't make reservations put your name down and wander (maybe Powells?)

Willamette Valley

OR

Willamette Valley is a great place for wine tasting, particularly Pinot Noir. You really can't go wrong. Ponzi is great and closer to town. Stoller is a great option and Durant (which also has Olive oil tasting) is nearby. Winderlea and Furioso are great smaller wineries. Anne Amie has a gorgeous view. Argyle is right off the highway with minimal views but has excellent wine.

Mount Hood

OR 97041

So many lovely hikes nearby Mt Hood! Particular favorites are Trillium Lake (easy hike), Mirror Lake/Tom Dick and Harry Mountain (moderate). If you are looking for something less crowded, check out Laurence Lake (moderate).

Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area

Hood River, OR 97031
, (541) 308-1700

Many lovely hikes along the Columbia Gorge and many waterfalls. Specifically Multnomah Falls (will need pass). Bridal Veil, Wahkeena, Horsetail, and Latourell. There are many hikes around the area but I think my favorites are Angels Rest and Wahkeena (anticipate 3 hour hike). If you are looking for something easy, check out Wahclella falls!

Hood River

OR 97031

Hood River is a cute town on the Columbia Gorge with lots of restaurants and shops! There are some nice wineries nearby including Gorge White House and Mt View Orchards

Cannon Beach

Cannon Beach, OR

Closest town on the Oregon Coast! Gorgeous Pacific ocean town with Haystack Rock

For all the days along the way
