We've woven in a few meaningful Norse traditions to honor the spirit of our day. During the ceremony, we'll have a handfasting, where our hands are bound together with a cord to symbolize our union. After the feast, we'll gather for a Firebinding Blessing-a ritual where we cast intentions into the flames to seal our bond and invite blessings for our life ahead. It's heartfelt, symbolic, and very us. We're excited to share it with you.
Dress comfortably! Viking inspired outfits are absolutely welcome but not required. Think relaxed, outdoor friendly, and ready to enjoy a laid back celebration. Feel free to wear something fun, festive, or just you!
Yes! While not a requirement if it calls to you, do it! Fur cloaks, braided hair, rune jewelry, drinking horns-all are welcome Whether you go full Viking or just add a small nod, we love it!
Both. Ceremony and The Firebinding will be outdoors. Feast will be indoors. Reception will be both inside and outside. We will have shade and seating but please dress for Arizona weather and uneven ground (flat shoes are your friend!).
The ceremony will begin at 3:30p, so please arrive by 3:00p to settle in and enjoy the setting.
We'll be serving a sit down Viking feast - hearty, rustic, and worthy of the Gods! Expect platters of meat, roasted vegetables, fresh fruit and cheese. To drink: Horns of Lager, mead, and juice for a true celebration of the harvest.
Absolutely! This is a family friendly event. If your invitations included a guest or children, they're more than welcome.
There is onsite parking.
Yes-you can find our wedding registry under the "Registry" tab on this site. Your presence means the world to us, but if you'd like to give a gift, thank you!
This is a BYOB celebration, so feel free to bring your favorite drink to enjoy! We will also have some mead on hand and maybe a bit of homemade sangria to share-in true Viking spirit.
We have a back up plan involving covered areas/tents just in case. Arizona weather tends to cooperate but we'll be prepared either way!
During the ceremony, we ask that you keep phones tucked away so our photographer can capture the moment. During the reception, snap away and tag us!
