It was the profile for me LOL :-) Cliff and I decided to step out on faith and try meeting a companion the non-traditional but modern way. Unbeknownst to us, we both created a profile on Match.com. I read Cliff's profile and loved how he said he wanted to build a friendship first, then see where things would go. Then "ping..." an inbox message from Cliff with a message saying he liked my "Big Butt and Smile." LOL, just kidding. He inbox me saying, he liked my smile and profile. From there, I replied back, eventually exchanging phone numbers, then we began to talk on the phone (day and night) for about two weeks. The July 4th holiday weekend was approaching and I was going to NOLA for Essence Festival and Cliff and his kids were going to DC to visit family. We decided to meet for the first time over a casual dinner. I was coming from teaching Hip Hop fitness and Cliff was coming from coaching football. We both showed up at El Arepazo in downtown Gahanna in workout gear, sweaty, and smelling like outside. LOL After I arrived, I sat down for five minutes and told Cliff I will be right back, I wanted to change shoes in my car b/c my feet were hurting. (Cliff said to himself, "Welp, she isn't coming back") but I did. LOL When I came back to the restaurant we talked, ate dinner, and laughed until the restaurant closed. The waitress finally came over to us and said, "Y'all don't have to go home but..." and the rest is history LOL

1. HOW LONG HAVE YOU TWO BEEN TOGETHER? - Over 3-years. We met online in June 2019, but made it official (BF/GF) in August (per Roxy LOL) but official official in October (per Cliff 🙄). 2. WHEN & HOW DID CLIFF PROPOSE? - Saturday, February 11, 2023. I thought we were going to dinner (to celebrate Valentine's day early b/c we don't like the crowd on the actual day). We went to a very romantic restaurant, Goodale Station. After dinner we went to take pictures on the rooftop then Cliff got down on one knee and proposed. 🥰 3. BEST DANCER? - Of course Roxy LOL 😂 naww but Cliff a'ight...He can cut a rug! Guess you will have to judge for yourself at our wedding! 4. BEST SPADES PLAYER! - Roxy duhhh but Cliff will probably say him 🙄🤣 5. FAVORITE THINGS TO DO AS A COUPLE? - We love just having a great time! We love to cook together, travel, shop (mostly Roxy), watch movies (if Roxy not talking the whole time), try new hole in the wall restaurants, and spend time with family & friends. 6. ROXY WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT CLIFF? - Cliff brings me peace! He is the most optimistic person I've ever met. He makes me smile even when I don't feel like I have anything to smile about. I've heard couples say their spouse/significant other was their best friend but never experienced it...until I met Mr. C. Cliff truly brings out the best in me. 7. CLIFF WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT ROXY? - I love her endless drive to get better! She constantly makes me want to be better mentally, spiritually, and physically. I also love how she has opened up to my kids. Anyone knows me knows my kids are my life. The fact she treats them as her own means everything to me.
