Like any modern couple these days, Addison and Roxanne met "the old-fashioned way," online. Roxanne sent the first message which started with "If you had to choose, who is your favorite composer?" Their first date was for drinks on the day after Roxanne's mom's birthday, December 19th 2017, at a restaurant that is now a Go Grocer, a mini grocery store chain found all over Chicago. Roxanne remembers Addison wearing glasses, Addison remembers complimenting Roxanne's red coat. As the months went by Roxanne would take the train in from NIU to visit Addison, while Addison would drive up to DeKalb to visit Roxanne. Union station holds lots of memories of hello & goodbye hugs and kisses. Fast forward to Roxanne graduating graduate school, they both moved into their first apartment together in Bucktown, Chicago in summer of 2020. Addison proposed in Mexico in January 2025.
