You have Questions! We have Answers!
Question

What kind of ceremony are we talking about?

Answer

Since coming to America, the Schroeders have been a German Catholic family. Expect a large full mass about 1.5 hours. Even if you are not Catholic or even religious at all you are still welcome to attend and programs will be provided explaining the different parts of the Mass to follow along with the ceremony.

Question

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

The wedding party and immediate family will go off for picture time. There is a longer cocktail "hour" between the ceremony and reception for those that wish to travel straight to the Henry Clay with appetizers and drinks or you may wish to rest and change before festivities resume with the reception dinner and dancing at 6pm.

Question

How close is the Ceremony and the Reception!?

Answer

The Cathedral of the Assumption and the Henry Clay Building are very close as both are located in downtown Louisville only a few blocks away. An estimated 8 minute walk or a 4 minute drive.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Parking is unfortunately not provided at the Ceremony or Reception venue so it is recommended parking at one location or your hotel and walking to the other. There is $5 parking garage at the Cathedral of the Assumption where the ceremony is held. See www.4thstlive.com/hours-and-parking for more information! As well as a parking lot right across from the reception venue, The Henry Clay, at 615 South 3rd Street, see riversideparking.com for more details. Both locations are an 8 minute walk apart. Another great parking option is to park at your hotel and to walk to the venues from there. This is especially easy for those staying at the Hilton Garden Inn in downtown Louisville as the hotel is attached to the Henry Clay.

Question

I don't know how to Catholic?

Answer

Ask the father of the bride - Chuck Schroeder! Joking aside, there will be programs provide that detail the different parts of the mass; including when to sit, stand, or kneel if you feel comfortable participating. Also feel free to turn to your left or right and ask a fellow guest as the bride has a Catholic large family who can answer any questions you may have.
