Airport Nikola Tesla Belgrade

To get to Novi Sad, Serbia we recommend you flying into Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport (BEG). Air Serbia has direct flights to BEG from Chicago (ORD) and New York (JFK). If you are flying out of different cities in the United States, there are many European cities you could layover at (Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Vienna, etc).

Local Currency: RSD

The local currency is Serbian Dinar (RSD). Most places accept credit cards, however, it would be good for you to have cash on hand. We recommend you exchange some cash at the airport to RSD to give you enough cash to pay for the taxi/your transport to Novi Sad. The rest of the cash you wish to exchange, we recommend the Exchange Office "Konverta" in downtown Novi Sad (address: Zmaj Jovina 11, Novi Sad 21000, Serbia).

Transportation To & From the Airport

Our recommendation and the easiest way to travel between BEG and Novi Sad is via Taxi. You will likely need cash to pay for the taxi so please see the Local Currency section of the travel note. If you let us know your travel itinerary, we can help you schedule a Taxi that would likely come out to be a flat fee of ~$60 USD (6500 RSD). If you choose to grab an unscheduled ride, the fee will depend on the Taximeter Please text Andrea or Rowland with your travel plans. If enough guests are arriving at BEG at the same time, we will organize a group shuttle.

For your accommodation we recommend booking a hotel, an Airbnb or an apartment through Booking.com. If you decide to book a Hotel, we have listed a few recommendations below. Some of the hotel options will not let you book directly online, however, you can request accommodation by sending them an email with your trip details. Something along the lines: "Dear [Hotel name] Team, I am writing to inquire about the availability of accommodation at your hotel. I am planning to visit Novi Sad, Serbia and would like to know if you have rooms available from [check-in date] to [check-out date]. Could you please provide information on the types of rooms available, the corresponding rates, and any amenities included during my stay?
