COVID-19

We will be updating this tab specifically to address concerns and questions related to COVID-19 and to also assure you of the safety precautions we are taking to keep our guests healthy. Please reach out to the bride or groom directly if you have any additional questions or concerns. *If you are experiencing any common symptoms of COVID-19 (fever, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, chills, muscle pain, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell), we ask that you please stay home and celebrate from afar.
Question

What health protocols is the venue taking to ensure safety?

Answer

All Mercantile Hall employees, vendors, and caterers will be masked for your safety. Bartenders and caterers may be gloved as well. All beverages will be served in disposable glasses, bottles, or cans. The appetizers, dinner, and desserts will all be a staff-served buffet. All staff and vendors will have temperature checks prior to guest arrival. Temperatures must be lower than 100.4 to work.

Question

Do I need to wear a mask?

Answer

Masks are not required at the event, but they are strongly encouraged when you are not drinking or eating. We will have disposable masks available if you would prefer not to bring your own!

Question

Should I bring hand sanitizer?

Answer

There will be hand sanitizing stations throughout the event space, but you are welcome to bring your own in addition to what will be provided for you!

Question

Will there be social distancing?

Answer

We will be seating our guests in smaller tables than originally planned and also seating them with their significant others, family members and/or those they interact with already. We will also be spacing out our ceremony seating. Our entire event will be operating at less than 25% capacity of the venue.

Question

Will it be outdoors?

Answer

The event is a combination of outdoors & indoors, weather permitting. The large outdoor patio, known as The Urb Garden, where ceremony and cocktail hour will be held, will have heaters if needed. You may want to pack a shawl or a light jacket since the early October weather might get a bit chilly.
