Botanical Gardens
A massive and well-maintained botanical garden with a variety of different areas, including an exhibit of 5,000 indigenous orchids.
Usaquen Street Market
Street market and fair taking place every Saturday and Sunday in the Usaquén neighborhood. Lots of vendors sell quality handicrafts. This is an excellent place to pick up Colombian souvenirs that are not touristy!
Nemocon Salt Mine
A place that captivates with its authenticity is Nemocon Salt Mine, which is 30 minutes from Zipaquirá. There, 80 meters underground, travellers walk along 1,600 meters of tunnels through which between 1816 and 1968 about 8 million tons of salt were extracted. They draw attention to the 28 brine mirrors in the dissolved salt rocks to produce a stunning visual effect.
