About Our Wedding

The Wedding Website of Andrea Miller and Nathan Roth
We can't wait to gather with our favorite people on our special day! We are looking forward to sharing good food, family traditions, and each other's company throughout the event. During our trip to Italy last summer, the day after our engagement, we participated in a food tour in a small neighborhood in Rome. We spent the evening exploring cobblestone streets, connecting with new people over delicious food and drinks, and learning about the history of the city. During our wedding cocktail hour, we are excited to invite you on our own "food tour" by sharing food and drinks inspired by our families and our travels as a couple. The evening will also incorporate some Jewish wedding traditions, as described below.

Chuppah

Ceremony

During our ceremony, we will stand beneath a chuppah, a wedding canopy that symbolizes the home we are building together. Open on all sides, the chuppah represents hospitality and the love and support of our family and friends.

Breaking the Glass

Ceremony

This tradition is a reminder of life’s fragility and the importance of cherishing each moment together. It also symbolizes the beginning of our new journey as a married couple. As we celebrate this moment, we invite everyone to join in the tradition by shouting “Mazel tov!”—a joyful wish for happiness and good fortune.

The Hora

Reception

The hora is a traditional dance performed at Jewish weddings where the newlyweds are lifted into the air while their family and friends dance in circles around them.
