What is the dress code?

Answer

Our dress code is cocktail attire: suits with ties, cocktail dresses, dressy jumpsuits (see illustration above for ideas). Our "colors" are ivory, mauve, pink and green, but you should feel free to wear any colors you'd like!

What time should I arrive at the wedding?

Answer

We kindly ask that all guests arrive between 3:30 and 3:45 pm, as the ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00 pm. Upon arrival you may partake in a welcome glass of wine or a non-alcoholic cold beverage.

Will the wedding take place outdoors or indoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be held outdoors, weather permitting. The cocktail hour will take place both inside the venue's catacombs as well as outdoors in the garden courtyard. The reception, including dinner and dancing, will take place indoors.

Where should guests park?

Answer

The closest parking garage is East King Street Garage located across the street from Excelsior at 150 East King Street. There is also parking one block west in the Penn Square Garage for both the public and Marriott guests.

Where should I stay to be located close to the wedding?

Answer

We have reserved two hotel blocks at a favorable rate at the Lancaster Marriott and Lancaster Arts Hotel. Click on the "Accommodations and Travel" page for more information. Note that you may partake in the hotel block rate from Thursday through Sunday.

What time should I arrive for Friday welcome drinks?

Answer

This is an informal drop-in event and you may stop by any time between 5-8 pm.

What should we expect at the Friday welcome drinks event?

Answer

We have reserved a private space on the second floor of Tellus 360 and are excited to welcome you with a beverage on us. Tellus 360 has three floors of additional bars and the third floor has food vendors should you wish to purchase food. Of course, some may choose to take advantage of making restaurant reservations and exploring Lancaster during First Friday.

Absolutely. When you RSVP, please identify your food allergy or any dietary restrictions at the prompt.

Is there transportation to and from the wedding?

Answer

The Marriott and Lancaster Arts Hotel are both in short walking distance to Excelsior. Uber is also available to those who require or choose it.

What are your Lancaster food and restaurant recommendations?

Answer

We've assembled a short list of top restaurants that you should consider enjoing. The list includes symbols denoting the distance from the Marriott/Excelsior (as well as days when we believe the restaurants are open between July 3-6). So have a great time in Lancaster eating delicious food from the lush farmland that surrounds the city. Just remember to make it to our wedding ceremony on Saturday, July 5th between 3:30 and 3:45 pm.
