Tips for all parks.Tips for all parks.

Visit the parks during your free time! Go every day if you have the energy! Be ready to walk! water shoes are recommended, water resistant/proof bags and goggles could* be useful. Free goggle rental at Xcaret park, and locker usage at Xplor/Fuego is included. The shuttle runs every 20-30 min and stops at the hotel, Xcaret Park, Xplor and Xenses so you don't have to worry about going from park to park, or back to the hotel. You are welcome to go back and forth as you please. Once you book your room, you will receive a form from the hotel with more information on food per park, and to make reservations for the tours. All parks and hotels have automated designated photo areas where you can scan your bracelet and get a picture taken. These are for purchase per park, and they will include all photos taken at the hotel as well. You can scan away and start taking photos as soon as you check in at the hotel, and you can pay for the photo package at any time during your stay.

Xcaret ParkXcaret Park

This place is amazing! Think of a private Mexican jungle with a mixed in zoo, natural attractions, restaurants & bars, experiences like swimming with dolphins and manatees, natural beaches where you can snorkel safely, and different areas where you can really experience the Mexican culture. The park closes every night with the world class production of their "Mexico Espectacular" show where you can experience the culture from different areas of Mexico and other things. Paul's favorite: The natural floating underground rivers! There are three different ones at the park so feel free to ask Paul any questions! Paige's favorite: being able to see wild animals so up close. Plan to be at this park from noon to 9pm at the very least, or all day. Tip: familiarize yourself with the map because there is a lot to do here and DO NOT miss the show. It starts at 7pm, but head over at 6:30 to get good seats. https://www.tiktok.com/@tallzz_/video/7355310686056107306?_t=ZT-8tOcXWHdLqg&_r=1

Xplor / Fuego Park

Xplor / Fuego ParkXplor / Fuego Park

Mexico

This is Xcaret's "adventure" park, and it's split into day (Xplor), and night (Xplor Fuego). It is the same park but they add fire to the attractions at night. This place has a massive slide, zip lines, cave swimming in underground rivers, and off roading vehicles. Paige's favorite: the heart of the park is all underground, and you can see real stalactites and stalagmites as you wonder through the tunnels. Paul's favorite: The zip line and of course, Paige feels like "Paul is only here for the zip-line" (If you know, you know!) Plan to be at this park around 5 hours. Tip: This park requires a lot of walking. We recommend you to split up the attractions between day/night. The park closes between 5 and 5:30pm but you can still remain inside during that time. We suggest you arrive in the afternoon to do some of the activities with daylight, and stay for the night (Fuego) to do the rest of the activities. You will be required to use a locker for some activities.

Xel-Ha ParkXel-Ha Park

A natural water park! If you like to snorkle, this is a must visit for you. They have zip lines into the water, rope games, water slides, swimming with animal experiences, mangrooves and cenotes! We have not been there yet, but the pictures look very cool!

Xenses / Xenses Insomnia ParkXenses / Xenses Insomnia Park

This is one of their newer parks and they advertise it as a "sensory adventure". Looks like a great place to visit if you are traveling with young ones or if you want something a little less fast paced. The place has some really cool activities like floating in salt water rivers through their caves, sludgerie, a one of a kind zip line and caving in the dark so you can find your purpose in life -LOL! This park is split into morning, and afternoon hours. Tip: quien sabe! we haven't been there yet, but we did hear that you can get through this park in 2-3hrs if you're quick.

XoximilcoXoximilco

Xcaret's mexican floating fiesta! This park was designed after the original Xochimilco in Mexico city which is a major attraction for tourists. Think of a dinner and a show. You will board one of the "trajineras" and get a tour of the canals making different stops along the way to experience marichachi bands, and a little bit of culture from different parts of Mexico. There WILL be drinking out there! so prepare yourself for a shot or two of tequila. We are hoping to get a large group together to go this park on Thursday for dinner. Please let us know if you'd be interested in joining. Tip: the dinner is an assortment of authentic Mexican bites so you might want to eat a snacky beforehand if you are a picky eater. You might eat your first cricket out there!

Xichen TourXichen Tour

This is a paid tour ($33) to the pyramids of Chichen Itza - one of the modern world wonders. You will be amazed by this place. It's a fully guided tour with a meal included. This place speaks for itself - google it! :) According to some youtube videos, the tour also takes you to a cenote for a quick swim, and gives you time to explore the town of Valladolid. Verify with hotel. You will need all day and a reservation for this tour. Bus leaves at 7am and returns around 8:30pm. Tip: it's HOT out there and shade is limited so I wouldn't do this after a late night out. Take water and dress comfortably. There will be lots of vendors out there, but be careful with what you purchase. Some of the wooden items they sell are treated with gasoline so you will not be able to travel back home with those. Check with your tour guide if you decide to buy anything! The vendors love trading things out there, I once traded a snapback for a cool little statue because I didn't have any cash on me.

Xenotes TourXenotes Tour

They claim this is the only tour that takes you to the four types of Mexican cenotes. If you want to interact with nature in a whole new level, this tour is for you! We're talking assisted rappel, zip lines into the water, kayaking and swimming. Sounds sick! You will need all day and a reservation for this tour. Bus leaves at 8:40am and returns around 5:30pm. We'll let you look this one up as we have never been to a cenote.

Coba TourCoba Tour

This tour takes you to the Coba archeological site. You will find the tallest pyramid in the Yucatan peninsula and you can actually climb to the top! I believe they also have bikes there for you to explore the site. The place is YUUUGE *trumps voice* You will need all day and a reservation for this tour. Bus leaves at 7am and returns around 6:30pm.

Tulum TourTulum Tour

This tour takes you to the Tulum archeological site. We don't know much about this one but the ruins next to the ocean make an awesome backdrop for some good photos. You will need all day and a reservation for this tour. Bus leaves at 7am and returns around 5:30pm.

FerryFerry

You can take a ferry to Isla Mujeres or Cozumel. This is basically just a ride to the island. We're not sure where the ferry docks, but the one time Paul was there, he rented a golf cart with his cousin and uncle and toured the island on their own. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from, and also a couple of hotels that offer snorkeling trips and swimming with dolphins. You'll have to do some research for this tour. Food and activities not included in the island. You're on your own and free to do whatever you want once you arrive. You will need all day and a reservation for this trip. Ferry to Isla Mujeres leaves at 9:15am and to Cozumel at 10:10am, with both returning around 8pm.

Catamaran Tour to Isla MujeresCatamaran Tour to Isla Mujeres

This tour takes you to Isla Mujeres and lets you explore the Meco reef which is part of the great mayan barrier reef and it's the second world's largest after Australias great barrier reef. I believe you can do some snorkeling here and swim with the fish, turtles, sting rays and check out under water museum of statues. When you get to the island, you will be taken to an exclusive beach club where you can get some food and unlimited drinks. This trip is available on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday, and you will need all day and a reservation for it. Catamaran leaves at 9:15am and returns at 8pm.

At the hotel.At the hotel.

The resort has limited access to the beach (weather dependent), so they have a beautiful man made salt water lagoon splitting the hotel and beach where you can do kayaking, swimming, paddle boarding or light snorkeling. The property also has a pretty extensive green area with plenty of trails that splits the adult only (Xcaret Arte) and family friendly hotel where we will be staying. We heard there are wild flamigos in this area, and also hidden water slides that drop you into a separate lagoon that extends around the inside of the hotels.
