Our Story
The Bride
I knew it was love on our first date when they told us the bar was closed and we needed to stop talking and leave. I knew by Date 3 this was it for me (this may speak more to my impulsive decision-making, my ying to Ross's yang). He laughed at my clumsiness, found my babbling charming, and made me laugh and think. On that particular date, we spent the entire day together walking around London - mudlarking and talking, and talking, and talking. By the time he agreed to watch A Knights Tale I was convinced we were made for each other. We've spoken every day since then; travelled to new places and shared old ones, built a home together, and supported each other through immigration woes and achieving our (often too lofty) goals. Ross is the most supportive, kind, intelligent, and witty guy. He so quickly became my other half and partner. Frankly, we were going to spend together forever anyways, but I'm glad we get to celebrate it officially with everyone else I love.
The Groom
From our first date where Sam managed to get me to divulge all of my nerdiest secrets, to today when I found out her spirit animal is a Jawa, I still have trouble believing that I have met my soul-mate. Most people will know my unending inability to make any decision - Sam still talks about the 10-minutes I take to pick yoghurt - yet proposing to Sam was the easiest decision I have ever made. I have never met anyone who I fit with so seamlessly and together we are truly a team. Like, Olympic-level team. It's worrying sometimes. Over the last 18 months we've had our fill of frozen mountains, jurassic sheep-raptors, muddy boots, and drowned iPhones. Yet of all the experiences, my happiest memory is of when Sam yelled "No!" in response to my rainy palace proposal; luckily for me this was quickly followed up with a "Yes" with tears all around. We look forward to sharing this moment with you, and want to see as many of you as possible. Here's to a forever of memories and surprises!
