Wedding Party

Meet our family and friends who are walking down the aisle with us. We are lucky enough to have so many friends from different walk of life who will be with us on our special day!

Emily Arbuckle

Maid of Honor

Emily and I have been inseparable since preschool when we were just four years old. We’ve done everything together—from childhood activities like art classes, soccer, gymnastics, and school band to traveling and making unforgettable memories as we got older. We went to Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, travelled to NYC, and have filled countless weekends with adventures. She’s my closest friend and the person I do life with. We have so many inside jokes that are completely inexplicable to anyone else, and a telepathic connection where we always know exactly what the other is thinking. Whether we’re bonding over our favourite musicians, books, and movies, going for walks, grabbing Starbucks, shopping, traveling, heading downtown, or having a girls’ night in, it’s always better when we’re together.

Therese Wilson

Bridesmaid

I’ve known Therese my whole life—literally since 2002. As my older cousin, she’s always been someone I admire and look up to. Being cousins gives us a bond that’s both effortless and special. Since moving to Halifax last year, we’ve spent as many weekends together as we can—usually being bad influences on each other while shopping. We love exploring new restaurants, visiting different churches for Sunday Mass, planning and taking trips, and deciding which purses to add to our collections. Life is simply more fun with her.

Haylie Maclean

Bridesmaid

I’ve been lucky enough to call Haylie my friend since Grade 10, and life has been brighter ever since. She truly is the life of every party—bringing energy, laughter, and unforgettable moments wherever she goes. From our StFX days to the gatherings we’ve hosted and the countless times we’ve made the best out of any situation, our friendship is full of joy, fun, and a connection that sometimes feels like we can read each others minds.

Kelsey Bowman

Bridesmaid

Kelsey has been one of my closest friends since high school, and we’ve shared so many unforgettable memories together. From road trips and discovering new scenic spots to countless nights spent with friends, those years were some of the best. During university, we worked together at Blue Lobster Public House, which gave us a whole new set of stories. There’s something special about surviving busy shifts, unpredictable customers, and late nights side by side that made our friendship stronger. I’m so grateful for all the laughter and memories we’ve built together over the years.

Rosie Martin

Bridesmaid

One of the greatest gifts of this marriage is gaining Rosie as my sister. Because neither of us has a sister of our own, this feels even more special. I love her deeply and cherish the bond we share. She is funny, always has my back, and brings so much joy to every moment. We love spending time together with family, going shopping together, getting Starbucks, and traveling for concerts. It means so much to know that we get to walk through life as sisters—not just in title, but in friendship and support. I truly couldn’t have asked for a better person to share that with.

Sidney Baillie

Bridesmaid

Sidney and I bonded during the StFX Nursing program, spending countless hours carpooling to class and supporting each other through every challenge that came our way. Through assignments, exams, and clinicals, we were always in it together. We later took the Critical Care Nursing Program at the same time, continuing to grow both professionally and personally. Some of my favourite memories are the summer day trips we squeeze in when our schedules match, and the way we’ve become a steady outlet for one another as nurses navigating this career.

Campbell Hayman

Bridesmaid

Campbell and I have been friends since middle school at Dr. W.A. McLeod, where we bonded over being in the French program together and, of course, our shared love of music. From choir practices and karaoke nights to singing just for fun, music has always been at the heart of our friendship. We even traveled to Montreal for our first concert together to see Ed Sheeran. After middle school, we both went on to StFX, continuing to grow up side by side through every stage of life. Now, as we both prepare to get married, it feels especially full circle—especially since she’s marrying our groomsman, Cailan. Campbell and I truly have grown up together, and I couldn’t imagine this season of life without her.

Hannah Barrett

Bridesmaid

Hannah was my very first friend—we met in preschool when we were just four years old. As two only children, we grew up more like sisters than friends, filling that sibling role for each other in the most natural way. We share more memories than I could ever count, and she’s someone I can always laugh with—especially when we’re reminiscing about our elementary school days. Hannah is truly family to me. We have really grown up together, I had the privilege of watching her become a mother to sweet Myles, who you’ll see as our ring bearer. We’ve been by each other’s side through every stage of life, and I’m so grateful we’re here together for this one too.

Mason Darroch

Best Man

I’ve been lucky to call Mason my friend for almost fifteen years. We spent our childhoods at the hockey rink, sometimes even sharing the ice as teammates. In high school, our friendship grew into what it is today. We stay in touch daily, whether it’s sharing something that made us laugh or when I’m looking for his advice. Mason brings a unique energy wherever he goes—he has a natural ability to connect with anyone and make them feel included. Don’t be surprised if you leave our wedding with a new friend named Mason.

Alex Martin

Groomsman

Alex is my older brother by four years, and over time we’ve grown from just siblings into genuine friends. Growing up, we did everything together—riding dirt bikes, hunting, playing sports, and countless hours on Xbox. Now that we’re older and don’t see each other every day, we always make the time to hang out when I’m home—whether that’s watching football together or taking the dogs out hunting. Alex has the best sense of humour, especially with Olivia. He stated the nickname most of my family knows her as, "Liver". She’s so excited to officially have him as a brother-in-law. Every time we get together, it’s like no time has passed at all, and I’m grateful for the friendship we’ve built.

Korey Creighton

Groomsman

Korey and I have the most “inorganic” friendship out of everyone here, but it’s one I am very proud of and appreciative for. He hired me in February 2022 to be his social media manager when I was looking for a job in the business world, and at the time, I had no idea what that opportunity would lead to. It wasn’t until that summer that our friendship really became what it is today. Although he was my boss, we were able to turn off the boss-employee mindset outside of work hours and just be friends—whether that meant golfing, hanging out, or joking around. Korey has done a lot for me over the past four years, and I am forever grateful for everything.

Xander Vohs

Groomsman

Xander and I met in Grade 9 when we both made the Bantam AA team, with him as my goalie. We connected immediately, and before long we were spending time together almost every week. Our days were filled with making videos, fishing, riding dirt bikes, shooting pellet guns, watching sports, and meeting up with friends around New Glasgow to play whatever sport we could. No matter what we were doing, it was always a good time. Xander has been a big part of some of my best memories growing up.

Reilly Grant

Groomsman

Reilly has been one of my best friends for as long as I can remember. We first met in Novice hockey, and although we played in separate leagues for a few years, we were back on the ice together in Atom and ended up playing alongside each other for most of our hockey careers. Those years built a strong and lasting friendship. Reilly is the kind of friend where months can go by without seeing each other, but the moment we reconnect, it feels like no time has passed at all. Whenever we’re together, there’s never a dull moment.

Thomas Schnare

Groomsman

Thomas has been a friend of mine since high school, and over the years he’s become a friend to both me and Olivia. He’s also our Maid of Honour Emily’s long-term boyfriend, and it’s been so great having him as part of our friend group. We often hang out together—watching hockey, going out for dinner, or doing double dates. The four of us have even taken weekend trips together and once went to the Cavendish Music Festival, making memories we’ll never forget. I am very glad he is with us as a groomsman.

Eagan Kinney

Groomsman

Like a brother, Eagan has been a built-in friend my whole life. As cousins, we’ve grown up side by side, sharing countless adventures. From childhood Xbox marathons to fishing trips and dirt biking, we’ve done it all. Often, Eagan, Reilly, Cailan, and I would hang out together, getting into all sorts of shenanigans and making memories that I’ll never forget. His friendship has been a constant in my life, and I’m so grateful for it.

Cailan MacLellan

Groomsman

Cailan and I have been friends for a long time. We grew up playing minor hockey together and have always shared the same group of friends. Over the years, he’s also become a friend of Olivia’s, as he’s engaged to one of her longest friends, Campbell, who is also standing with her. Cailan and I have the kind of friendship where we don’t see each other often, but when we do, it feels like no time has passed.

Cher and Wayne Heighton

Mother and Father of the Bride

Wayne and Cher met when they were just 17 and 19, and it all started with him offering her a ride on his motorcycle. That moment turned into a lifetime together. Thirty-six years later, their love and dedication to each other continue to be such a strong example of partnership and commitment.

Cherryl & Troy Martin

Mother & Father of the Groom

Cherryl and Troy met in their early 20s while working at the same gas station, and that’s where their story began. For the past 30 years, they’ve built a life together rooted in love, dedication, and strong family values. Their relationship has always been a great example of what it means to support one another, and it’s clear how much of that has been passed down to Ross.
