Will there be a ceremony on December 6?

Answer

Our December 6 celebration will be a reception only, including cocktail hour, sit-down dinner, drinks, and dancing. We'll be getting married in a private ceremony in New Zealand this fall, and are so excited to celebrate with our family and friends in Chicago!

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

We'd like to keep the guest list just to those most special to us. The name of every guest invited to attend is clearly listed on your invitation and no additional guests can be accommodated.

Can I bring my children?

While we love your children, our wedding celebration will be an adults-only evening.

What is the dress code?

Answer

"Night Out Chic" We want you to feel confident & comfortable while celebrating with us! Come dressed for a night out—whether that’s cocktail attire or something more casual. Ladies, feel free to wear a cocktail dress, jumpsuit, etc. or a fun top with pants/chic jeans—whatever makes you feel fabulous! Gentlemen, anything from a suit to well-fitted jeans with a button down or sweater are all great options.

Where should I stay?

Answer

We have rooms blocked at two hotels for your convenience (see Travel section). All are located in the River North area of Chicago and about a 15-25 min drive to the venue, traffic dependent. There are also many other hotel and Airbnb options in the area, depending on where you'd like to stay.

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

There is some public street parking around The Joinery, but no dedicated parking lot. We recommend either arriving early to find a spot or taking advantage of other transportation options. Uber/Lyft are good alternatives, or you can take the Chicago "L" blue line train to the Western stop, which is a ~5 minute walk from the venue.
