The small town of Estes Park sits right out front of Rocky Mountain National Park. Colorado holds a third of all the Elk in the U.S. and most of them can be found in Estes Park roaming all around town. Plus walking up and down old town you will find some neat restaurants, gift shops, and candy shops to satisfy your sweet tooth after eating a savory elk or buffalo burger from Penelope's Old Time Burgers. This is a must see place and Katherine and I highly recommend you visit while you're out here!
Talk about a must see place!! The Denver Botanics Garden is where Katherine and I got engaged. If you stop by the Tropical room and overlook the small stream, that is where Katherine said "Yes!". This is a beautiful peaceful place to visit if you want to relax and view the Lords creation! Katherine and I love to walk around and reminisce on that special time when she became my fiancé!
The Butterfly Pavilion is a great place for the whole family to go. Like the Botanic Gardens its nice to just get out and walk around and admire the beautiful plants everywhere...oh and of course the butterflies too!! if you're lucky one may and on you! And if you're brave enough you can hold Rosy the tarantula!
If you're looking for a plethora of restaurants, coffee shops, entertainment, and shopping than Olde Town Arvada is the place to go! This beautiful spot has a ton of historic charm mixed with modern day amenities. There are hundreds of boutique shops that sell various local and handmade items including jewelry and art while also supply their customers with many eclectic Colorado souvenirs.
