I, Michael, would say that the Lord has His perfect timing in everything. I met Katherine on the day I was supposed to move back to California. However my plans fell through and wow was I thankful! Later that day I was invited to a home meeting where a group of students and local church families gather together for some food and fellowship. Later that day there was a wonderful surprise that walked in the door. My previous roommates girlfriend walked in with Katherine. When I first noticed Katherine I was on the back porch while she was in the kitchen and I actually couldn't see anything but her hair. I had to see who this beautiful blonde hair belonged too. Thus I proceeded inside the house to greet our new guest! I didn't know I could multitask but I tripped while on my way to see her and simultaneously fell in love all at the same time! I introduced myself with a hug and got to know her throughout the evening. Later that evening I heard her testimony and the physical attraction turned to spiritual attraction. After our evening together, the next day I couldn't help but replay every memory from the night before. The next morning I received a group text with my previous roommate, his girlfriend, and Katherine! We made plans to go down to Golden, CO for dinner and a movie. Actually the moment I knew I wanted to marry Katherine was the moment I made her laugh and she covered me in the water she was drinking and proceeded to try to clean me up! Later that night as I was driving home and I sent her a text. That was all it took. A text turned into a conversation that lasted for days until I officially asked her on our first date. Now as each day passes my love truly grows more deeply for her. Being with Katherine has allowed me to go deeper in my relationship with Christ. Pursuing Christ together is one of the greatest joys I've experienced. We share the same heart and want to serve the Lord and be under His divine dispensing all the days of our life.

I, Katherine, had no idea how monumental this evening would be in the story God had written just for us. Specifically three weeks prior to meeting Michael, I reached a place in my heart where if I never married, I felt a sweet peace. Which if you know anything about Katherine Koplin, you would know that my love for my Future Husband and deep desire to meet him was planted in my heart at such a young age. The amount of prayers and tears I cried over this mystery man couldn't be counted. Having reached this place of suddenly being okay if I never married, I started yearning to know what God's purpose was for my life. I was so hungry to know what my next step was. Somehow, I knew in my spirit that whatever that next step was, it was coming quickly. I just had no idea what it would specifically be, or just how soon it would redirect the focus of my life. If I can recount that Friday evening when I first met Michael, I would say I greatly enjoyed talking to him, but didn't think much of it until I hopped in the car with my friend on our way home. In her matchmaking tone, she asked me what my thoughts were about Michael. I said he was very handsome, kind, and super fun to talk to! I told her I wasn't in a place where I was really looking for a romantic relationship, but I was open to whatever God wanted to do. I shared that if he ever wanted to hang out in a group setting, I would be open to it. But I made it very clear the Lord had to be the one to initiate it, IF something was suppose to happen. Well, something definitely happened. The funny part is, my childhood friend and her boyfriend had known Michael for a full two years from college, but never thought to introduce us. When we say the timing of the Lord is perfect, we know it to be true. We look back and think if we had met each other any sooner, we wouldn't have been ready to embark on the journey God had for us. Even if we don't always understand His ways, we can always trust His character.
