7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Welcome to Arizona!
We anticipate that most of our guests will be arriving on this day. Although there is no formal event as to give our guests time to check in and acclimate to the resort, we will likely have a casual meet up in the evening for hellos and drinks in either the hotel lobby or one of the restaurants inside the hotel. Exact time & place TBD, but be on the lookout here for updates! If this is your first time visiting Marana- early December typically offers beautiful winter weather- sunny, mild days and cool evenings. Guests can expect daytime temperatures in the upper 60s to low 70s, with evenings cooling into the 40s. We recommend lighter attire (and sunscreen) during the day, with a blazer, shawl, or layers for nighttime events and outdoor ceremonies.
10:00 am - 1:30 pm
What better way to embrace the Arizona sun than with a pool party!
The Haldi ceremony is a joyous pre-wedding ritual in Indian weddings where a paste of turmeric (haldi), oil, and water is applied to the bride and groom to bless them. It symbolizes purification, wards off evil, and offers a natural, radiant glow for the couple. It is a vibrant and intimate event accompanied by music, laughter, and most often with floral, yellow-themed decorations. Guests and family typically wear yellow (or other warm, bright colors) to match the theme of the occasion. Given this event will be held at the Aventura Pool- be sure to wear/bring your swimsuit if you want to enjoy the heated pool & waterslide! The event will begin with light food and drinks, to be followed by a lunch service.
6:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Sangeet turned Christmas
A Sangeet ceremony is an energetic, music-filled pre-wedding celebration. Translating to "sung together" in Sanskrit, this event focuses on joy and union, featuring choreographed dances, musical performances, and feasts for the couple's family and friends. Guests typically wear formal & dance-friendly Indian, Indo-western, or Western attire. Because we are lucky enough to have you all in Arizona for the holiday season, guests should plan for a Christmas themed event. Think holiday colors- greens, reds, golds, and silvers. This event will be held outdoors, so be sure to bring something to stay warm.
11:00 am - 3:00 pm
Indian Wedding Ceremony
The ceremony will begin with the Baraat, a lively and celebratory wedding procession honoring the groom’s arrival. Accompanied by music and dancing, the groom and guests will make their way together to the mandap — the ceremonial wedding altar beautifully adorned to symbolize the start of the couple’s new journey together — where they will greet the bride and begin the Indian ceremony. Dress code is festive, traditional Indian attire (avoiding reds and whites), keeping in mind that the events will take place outdoors. After the wedding ceremony, there will be a lunch service provided from 1-3pm.
5:00 pm - 6:30 pm
Golden Hour in the Sonoran Desert
Cocktail hour will be scheduled from 5-6:30pm on an outdoor patio so that guests can enjoy what we hope to be a beautiful desert sunset. Be aware that the sun is predicted to go down around ~5:20pm, and temperatures drop quickly as it does. After 6:30pm, the evening events will commence indoors. The theme for the entire evening will be inspired by the "Tucson Gem Show"- calling for black tie optional and jewel tones.

Western Wedding Ceremony & Reception
Cocktail hour will be immediately followed by wedding reception just inside the hotel in one of the ballrooms. Once guests are seated at their tables, a traditional Western wedding processional will commence with the bride walking down the aisle, exchange of vows between bride and groom, as well as their first dance. Formal reception and dinner will follow. We cannot wait to celebrate with you!
